The day I went it was not too busy, but the point is you really don't know how the lines will be. I agree this is worth the price in order to just walk right in. Great tour, easily a highlight of my 3 weeks in London.

What an amazing place ! We had another amazing day here and spent many hours wandering around the Tower of London. Skipping the line was a real bonus - recommend getting the audio guides for a few pounds - they helped bring the whole area to life.
