This was a great way to see the crown jewels. The lines were huge, and having the privilege of going right past them was worth every penny.

There wasn't a line to skip when we got there, but it was still worth getting the tickets in advance just in case, because we were on a tight schedule. The tower, including the beefeater tour, is still a must-see, although the substance of the tour was not as good as I remembered from 20 years ago.

Rated this three stars, but if you take the Yeoman Warder tour the day becomes a four star event! Lots of tall tales and good humor are added with a wonderful historical flair. The Crown Jewels are a must-see - ladies, don't lick the glass - and the haunted tower is highly recommended. If you can join the group on the moat lawn area between the main entrance and the inner wall, this is fun and entertaining as well. So much history and plenty of neat things to find, explore and see here.

Don't think it was necessary to prebook. The line was long inside for the crown jewels.

There was definitely no line, but it was still nice to have the vouchers already paid for. There was lots to see, and the tour was informative. The crown jewels are a must see!

Made it much easier to get in. The queues were quite long, so it was nice to not have to wait in it.

The tower is definitely worth doing. the guard tours are awesome. We went in the low season so we could have gotten our tickets at the door, but it was nice already having them. The tower takes a good 2-3 hours.

You definitely need to devote most of the day to this tour. Be ready to spend some time and see it properly. A great guided tour is available from the Beefeaters and I recommend it. Lots of things going on, good cafes, restaurants etc. It's expensive so make the most of it.

It was the best idea to book ahead and skip a very long line in the rain. No hassles to redeem voucher, either.
