Loved this tour! Robert our guide/tour bus driver was great. We first went to Oxford to meet our guide for our locale tour. I wish I could remember his' name because he deserves props for this tour. He graduated from Oxford so his' knowledge was great. After Oxford we went to a town in the Cotswolds and walked around for about 40 minutes then went to another Cotswold town for lunch. The Cotswolds were amazing. The next stop was Stratford-upon-Avon. My husband and I really didn't care for it. The town was over run with tourists and just took away from Shakespeare's home, but don't let that keep you from this tour. I highly recommend it.

Great tour. Dave was our driver and guide with the exception of Oxford when a local guide, Debbie, took over. Stratford-upon-Avon is a bit touristy but a must see if you have not been there. Dave made the Cotswolds come alive taking us to several small villages via back roads! Loved every minute!

It was perfect! Mike is so amazing--fun to be with and so knowledgable. It was great to be in a small group, much more personable. For someone without a lot of time, it was great to be able to go to the places I most wanted to see. Stratford, Oxford, back lanes in the Cotswolds--not to be missed.

Very nice, even though it rained the whole day, the guides wit and knowledge made it very pleasant. Our group was only five so we got to know them well. He dropped us close to our hotel on the way home.

This was what I in mind for a small group: six of us in a compact van. The driver was also the tour guide and did a fantastic job. There was an arrangement to meet another guide who led us on a walking tour of Oxford; she was also great. Instead of drving through the Cotswolds, we actually made a few stops. Lunch was a savored in a historic setting. All in all, a definitely wonderful/memorable experience.

This was an exceptional day trip of the Cotswolds, Oxford and Stratford Upon Avon. Our Tour Guide Mat and bus driver Victor took great care to make the day relaxing as well as interesting. The small bus allowed us to travel down narrow country lanes, so we could experience in detail the beautiful Cotswolds countryside. Mats historical knowledge of local sites was impressive, stops were the right length and the company on the bus with fellow travellers was extremely pleasant. Fabulous day; I highly recommend it.

This trip was fabulous! Our guide was very knowledgeable about Oxford and the Cotswolds. Highly recommend this trip if you want to actually stop in the Cotswolds. Lovely villages and beautiful countryside. Drop off was at our hotel in Trafalgar Square. Overall, a great trip!

small group so was able to be flexible with what we wanted to see. Lots to fit in on one day so this was important. Smaller bus so was able to drive along narrow laneways in the Cotswolds which would not be possible in a large bus. Our guide Michael was very knowledgeable.

A fantastic tour with a very knowledgable guide. We even bumped into a film set. Just be aware that you do not have a lot of time for yourself at the stops. But as there is so much to see it is probably not managable in any other way.

This was a wonderful tour! We got to see a lot. I would have preferred if we were able to get into a restaurant for lunch though. Everything was totally filled. I suppose it was unavoidable with the crowds. Maybe the timing could have been better for the lunch.

The Cotswolds are delightful and not to be missed. This tour on the whole was enjoyable, but I want to warn future travelers of a few things.
1) This tour does not include the town of Bibury as listed in the Viator description
2) Make sure you ask for bathroom stops as our guide was not the best at including them
3) We had a very opinionated and talkative guide. I sadly do not mean these in a good way. He lead the tour of Oxford and kept stopping us in side streets and alleyways and would keep blathering on in tangents. I feel like we missed out on seeing more buildings if only he would have kept going. He also made some a lot of Margaret Thatcher comments that I feel were inappropriate since she just passed away and were not suitable for mixed groups.
Having said that, there were many of beautiful things to enjoy on this trip. Our guide arranged for us to have a very delicious lunch at a charming Inn in Lower Slaughter. He also agreed to make a quick stop at the gorgeous church in Stratford Upon Avon. The towns we did see were lovely and made the day worthwhile.

Our guide, David, was a little surly and impersonal. Several times he was impatient with passengers who were only minutes late, and in traffic situations. It wasn't the intimate, cozy tour I expected. The Oxford portion of this tour was very disappointing. Our guide, Debbie, was knowledgeable but her personality was overbearing so it made it difficult to absorb. It was extremely rushed and we only toured a very small section of the university. We mostly got information about the system and how it works and less about the history of the university itself. We never saw Christ Church. The worst part though was the meeting place and the ending place. We met at a coffee shop that only 2 customers could be in at a time. The restrooms were completely inadequate and no other options were available. At the end, we were directed to a very small bookstore that sold mostly t-shirts and sweatshirts. We were told that we had FIVE MINUTES to shop. Ridiculous! The tour through the Cotswolds was disappointing because we stopped at 1 spot for 20 minutes...inadequate restrooms...and another for about an hour, which included your lunch time. So disappointing! Stratford was the worst because Shakespeare's house is such a tourist trap and the streets around it are the same. The only joy we found was walking down to the river and then poking around in the Royal Shakespeare theater. We drove by Trinity Church where he was baptized and buried but it was too far away to get to in the limited time we were given. I would have much preferred to see that. Overall, find a tour that spends more time in the Cotswolds villages.
