We had a wonderful guide in Chicago Mike. His narration was great and he fill Ed us with many facts previously unknown. Would highly recommend this tour.
So thankful I paid the extra for the Small-Group. Our van was able to go where the larger buses can't. Our guide was AWESOME!
Great tour and fantastic driver. His Irish humour was infectious, and when combined with excellent historical knowledge, the day was exactly what I'd hoped for.
A beautiful day out with Tony ( a very funny guy) as our guide. This was a favorite of my tours in England. We were glad we decided to spend a bit extra to go on the small tour in a van instead of a large coach tour. There is no way we could have gone on the narrow country roads and through the small villages on a bus. The walking tour of Oxford was just enough to let us know we needed to come back and spend a couple days on our next visit. The time in Stratford allowed ample time to explore Shakespears home, have a coffee and browse the shops. To see the Cotswolds on a lovely sunny day in May was a stroke of luck. All in all a great tour. Wish I could give it an extra star.
The best way to do this tour is a small group with a well informed and flexible guide and professional driver which we had. Oz, our guide taking into consideration weather changes turn the tour around and we did Shakespeare country first leaving Oxford last which worked out very well and we were also fortunate with brilliant weather and sunshine. Our compliments to. Oz and Nick for a very educational and pleasant day out and we were very happy and would highly recommend this to our friends.
Everything about this tour was thoroughly enjoyable. Oz, our tour guide, was charming, knowledgeable, easy-going and fun. He juggled the itinerary a bit (because of a One Direction concert that evening in London) and got us into Stratford early, ahead of the crowds. Liked the small group and small bus, our excellent driver (whose name, sadly, we have forgotten), and all the stops. Definitely reccomend this for a day full of beautiful sites and lots of history.
This was a wonderful trip. Andrew, our tour guide was very informative with all that we saw. I liked this small group trip since we were able to go on some roads which bigger buses wouldn't have been able to get to. Would certainly do this again and would recommend this tour to everyone.
We had an absolutely wonderful trip with Debbie on this tour. She was delightful, full of stories, and so knowledgeable. The small villages were a bonus. We would take another viator trip again and hope we have the opportunity to do so.
Had a great time on this tour, our guide Debbie and driver Paul were fantastic. Debbie was a local from Oxford and she really provided a great insight to the area, the Cotswolds was like a movie set and because we were on a small tour we were able to go to villages that the big tours couldn't get too. We had lunch at a great pub that was a bit off the beaten track and got a bit of an insight into village life. Stratford upon Avon was very interesting and we had just enough free time to look around. The tour has given me an overview of this area and I am already planning a longer visit
This tour was the highlight of our day trips! Our guide, Tony, was terrific! He knew so much history and was able to tell us so much about each of our sites. I yearned for more time in Oxford and now plan to return there. Oxford was my favorite place of all places I visited in England. The drive through the charming Cotswold villages was beautiful and quaint - well worth the trip. And Stratford was most interesting. A great day!
Oxford, the Cotswolds and Stratford-upon-Avon in one day make the trip a wee bit thin because each place is so full of charm and things to do and see. All the same, I highly recommend this trip for anyone who is visiting England for less than a month, just because it is possible to get so much into a day. Each area is seductive in its own way. History and natural beauty abound. The tour guide, David, was full of entertaining and interesting tidbits of history and was most accommodating. He went out of his way, quite literally, to see that all of us had a pleasant experience and ended the day smiling.
