This tour would benefit by spending more time at Windsor.

I felt that the tour was well organized. Our tour guide was very informative and humorous. This was our first time in London, and we wanted to take advantage of seeing as much as we could. We went in March 2006 and it was extremely cold, however, we thoroughly enjoyed our tour and highly recommend it to others. Next time we plan to spend more time in Windsor and take in more of the town.

I have been on 7 Viator excursions. This tour was badly organised. The tour guide had very limited information and was really not a pleasant person. The lunch was a HUGE disappointment. People are forced to eat at one restaurant - nowhere else to find food - and it is definitely the worst meal I have had in years. People should be warned to bring umbrellas for the rainy weather at Windsor. The baths were lovely.
Reviewed by: Annie M, South Africa, October 2008 Note from Viator: Thanks for the feedback. We worked with our local operator to provide an itinerary that allows the tour to stop for lunch as a group. We believe it is a far better option to visit a traditional old English pub half way through the day so that the group have a clearly defined time to rest and reflect on the morning, while enjoying classic British food. This way you do not have to worry about purchasing lunch at Stonehenge or Windsor Castle and waste valuable sightseeing time. It is a long day and we think it is healthy to have a break at some stage when people can pause for an hour.
Time at each stop was very short, drop off was not where we were picked up and required a long walk after a tube ride. Also, this did not include a torchlit tour, we left Bath long before sundown!

I will say that seeing these places was incredible. However, our tour director was terrible. There was a planned lunch stop, and the only thing the tour director spoke about the entire morning was ordering the food, making the reservation, how we should pay for it, and on & on & on about the lunch every 20 minutes until we finally ate. She should have been pointing out the sights and given us interesting points as to the countryside and history instead of teaching grown adults how to order and pay for lunch.
Reviewed by: Laura S, United States of America, November 2007 Note from Viator: Thanks for the feedback Laura. The tour guides are briefed to sell the lunches in advance on the coach, so that they can collate the orders and phone the restaurant in advance. We want to make sure that our clients enjoy their tours without delay so ordering the food in the morning ensures that it is ready when we arrive at the pub. We also ensure that the guides remind our guests that lunch is optional and you can choose to eat elsewhere during the day.
Fun and beautiful, but be aware, that this is very much a self-led tour. The guide drops you off at the locations and gives you a time to meet.

It was a good choice of attractions, but we spent too much time in the bus and too little at the points of interest. We rushed through Windsor Castle to make time for a mediocre and poorly planned lunch at a pub where the staff was less than accommodating. The tour staff were pleasant, but the itinerary needs to be refined.

The bus that was supposed to pick us up at the hotel never arrived abd when we got to the bus station the tour had left. I was traveling with luggage, as I stayed in Bath. I bought train tickets to catch the tour in Windsor and the bus driver was supposed to wait for me in the bus. We spent 10 minutes outside Windsor Castle. After that, the tour was really quick and we had no chance to visit all the places we were supposed to see. I do not recommend this tour at all! I think it would be better to do it on your own.

While there was ample time at Windsor Castle and Stonehenge, there were two very large negative issues with the entire tour - our tour guide and the private viewing of The Roman Baths. Our guide had absolutely no interpersonal skills, it was unbearable listening to her speak. The Roman Baths are truly incredible - however with this tour you are quickly walked through the baths, with no time at all to experience them. It was such a waste of money and time, and it breaks my heart that we were unable to truly experience the Roman Baths as we'd have liked. Do yourself a favor, and take the train on your own to see these sights.
