Great experience at Stonehenge. It was a great beginning before our cruise
We wanted a reliable transport from London to our cruise ship, which it was. We also got to see Stonehenge which is something I have always wanted to see. Guides were great and very friendly. Be aware that tour does not include the entrance fee to Stonehenge so you need to have some money available for your ticket. I think Viator should make this an option to prepay for your ticket.
Tour director was new, but did a good job. He had a backup on board and was not hesitant to ask him questions or ask for his input. This tour was done with headsets, so you did at your own pace and then gave time for shopping. Would recommend.
there were 8 of us that took this tour together. The driver was very prompt at meeting us, then we had to wait about 30 minutes to go. The drive was very nice, big comfortable bus and the guide was good at pointing things out. They dropped us off and let us stay for just the right amount of time at Stonehenge, then drove us to the ship- very smooth tour!! Would do it again for sure!!
Most enjoyable trip. On time, kept informed. Perfect tour for pre cruise.
I am not sure my first review went through.
We really liked this excursion. The purpose of it was to get to Southampton to board the Ruby Princess for our cruise. This just made it an easy, easy way to get there. And, it was scenic by stopping by Stonehenge. The coach, run by International Friends, was spacious and the pickup was very, very easy. We have used Viator before and we will use Viator again!
Good exposure and up close visit to the upgraded Stonehenge. Driver and tour guide did a good job. Best was drop off at ship pier in Southampton and gave bags to the dock worker to load on ship. Great way to get from London hotel pick up to ship in Southampton for less cost.
the pickup was on time, we just had a few hotels after us for pickups, we then picked up 4 people at heathrow. i dont know if heathrow is out of the way, maybe they could have done a separate pickup for them and brought them to the london pickup point to save time. the stonehedge admission was not included in the tour price for viator customers, viator should put thisin the tour description, admission is 6-8 pounds so it is not expensive. the bus driver did a great job of circumventing the port traffic. the company used is international friends and they seemed to have their act together. they got us to the ship around 1pm which was perfect timing for lunch. i would use them again
It was a wonderful experience, thanks to our wonderful and very funny driver. He made the trip very enjoyable and certainly informative. He got us on time w/ plenty of spare on our embarkation .
The bus picked us up in front of our hotel on time and we made our way to Stonehenge with but one bus change in the city. It seems like several buses meet at the bus station and consolidate the tours. It was easy and the luggage was handled without complication. There was much traffic as we got close to Stonehenge, and the driver took us along a short-cut through the countryside that seemed to save quite a bit of time. Stonehenge was quite crowded and our driver obtained tickets and guided us along to the entry. With an agreed-upon time to meet back at the bus, we were on our own with a self-guide headset. Great fun - glad we we added the stop on our way to Southhampton.
We were able to get to see Stonehenge but the bus driver showed us to be one of the couples who hadn't paid. We showed him our voucher and for a time, that wasn't good enough. He took a phone photo of the voucher and sent it to his manager so we were finally able to get that behind us and see Stonehenge. One of my bucket list items checked off. Beautiful landscape as well
I thought the visit was too brief to see Stonehenge stop for a quick snack and visit the exhibits. An additional half hour would have added to our enjoyment!
This was our second "Tour" of this kind because we did the same thing on May 26th to get to London from Harwich after arriving in England on the Brilliance of the Seas. The guide was ok - the weather was awful. We didn't do the tour around the site because we did that on 26March. This time we just wanted to get from London to Southampton to get the QM2 back westbound.
We didn't read the fine print that Stonehenge tickets were not included. Very expensive for a ride to Southhampton.
I was surprised that the driver told us we have to buy our own ticket to Stonehenge. Whole bus people except three of us has to purchase our own tickets because we reserved our tour through your company. Transport from hotel to Southampton is okay.
Never got picked up as arranged was a total stuff up and had to organize another transfer to take us to ship
Sat in hotel lobby for 3 hours waiting
Even when we did organize pick up original contractor went to wrong hotel , I was told you are not supposed to be at that hotel
Finally got pick up from original booked hotel after many phone calls and had to pay another £220 pounds
