Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, Bath, Including Pub Lunch in Medieval Village of Lacock. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
It was a great experience. Your guides are very knowledgeable and fun. Glad I used Viator and would do it again.
Loved the tours, the guide was very informative. He tended to talk too much!
I took 3 different day trips with Viator while I was in Ireland/Scotland/London. This by far was the most informative, interesting tour of them all. Our guide was David - he is a brilliant person that was so interesting and funny that I even forgot to look out at the countryside while we were driving - he was captivating. I learned more in the 12 hours that I was with him then I ever learned in any of my history books lol. David is one of the few guides who is allowed in Windsor Castle-most guides give you an audio guide to listen to while you are in there. Stonehenge is a must see - and Bath is a lovely town. The lunch in Lacock was just ok - but the pub was old and a great place. A really enjoyable, informative day.
Excellent tour, all cramped in a day! Lacock was a quaint old village, Stonehenge was amazing
Never saw the Roman Baths as it was closed at 5pm and we arrived just after, abit disappointed for such a famous tourist destination, one would think it would open till 6?
We love Windsor Castle especially the Doll House collections
Guide was excellent. He had a good sense of humor and made the historical data interesting.
The guide was astonishing, lots of interesting information.
We had a great time. Loved all the sights. Our meal was wonderful. Makes us want to go back to Bath for a longer period of time next visit.
Our tour guide was knowledgeable and fun.
We had a great time! We would have liked to start a little earlier in the morning so that we arrived in Bath with more time before the shops closed.
Very good all around day. A lot to take in. Enjoyed every stop we made. Good lunch also.
The tour announcer was very good, did nice job.
Great trip, enjoyed all the locations and lunch was pleasant also.
It's a long day so be prepared. You get to see so much of England's history in a single day! I cant imagine a better combination of attractions. This is a MUST for any traveler!
Fabulous trip! So much to see and do and we did it ... makes me want to go back and spend more time in a few of the places we saw too! LOVED IT!
Highly recommend this tour. It was a rather long day however the coach transport was extremely comfortable and allowed for naps/rest between sites. The town of Lacock is quaint and definitely worth the visit. The pub lunch was excellent with very tasty food. Excellent tour, made very enjoyable by a very knowledgeable and informative tour guide.
Enjoyed this trip. Wish we could have had more time in Bath. The dinner in Lacock was great. The little village was like a step back in time. Glad we went to Stonehenge. You really get to see the countryside.
Lovely tour. The sights were beautiful. The guide not only provided a history of each site, along with other information during the route. He recited Shakespeare and told humorous stories as well. We loved it.
Loved this tour! Mike and Derek were the best! Lots of information provided going to and from locations. Lunch at the George Inn was well worth it. Wonderful to see these 3 places in one day.
This tour restored my confidence in day tours. Our guide Ross was beyond professional - funny, engaging, full of knowledge and make of all us at ease with our traveling needs/questions. Ross tour guide and Steve our driven even make sure they dropped us off at the best location for us to get back to our hotels at the end of the day and make helpful dinner recommendations - this is something extra that I didn't expect and greatly appreciate. Yes this trip is slightly rushed but provided we are squeezing 4 sightseeing spots I think this is well worth the money especially if you only have limited time in London - i'll say this is THE tour.
Very informative and although I am sure some would love to spend more time in the castle, for me it was perfect. Bath is very beautiful and Lacock was so quaint and a nice place to walk around. The lunch was good and traditional. Lacock is where part of Harry Potter filmed his parents house is there as an added bonus. Stonehenge was great and we had enough time to walk around, take lots of pictures and visit the gift store.
I recommend this tour to all those who are interested in history, art and architecture. Stonehenge is just way beyond beautiful. We had a great time visiting all 3 places. Though the entry fee for Roman Bath was not included in this package, we could spend time around the market and Abbey. The lunch was filling and tasty. There were 3 options we could choose from. We really enjoyed this tour.
Great tour and great experience! Note- if you like to experience all that a site has to offer and take your time, this tour if not for you. You will feel hurried and rushed and herded. However, if your time in London is limited as ours was and if the idea of planning a day trip with four stops in a foreign country is a bit daunting to you as it was to us, this is a great way to do it.
We had enough time to enjoy Windsor, Bath, lunch in Lacock, and Stonehenge. Yes there was a line at Windsor-- measure your expectations and remember that queuing is an authentic part of any English experience. We had just enough time to visit the Roman Baths and to pop into Bath Abbey. Lunch in Lacock was pleasant and you get to use a bit of wifi. Finally, Stonehenge was very impressive. We did not see the exhibits, choosing instead to take the shuttle up to the stones and walk past the Stonehenge Cursus to rejoing the group.
Our tour guide Ross, and our driver, whose name regrettably escapes me, were both professional, polite, capable, considerate, and efficient. Our driver kept us on time safely and securely. Ross provided info about each attraction and the necessary logistics, and he went above and beyond what is included in the price of your tour-- a complimentary guided tour around Bath, a short walk around Lacock, and at the end of the tour, directions and dinner recommendations to each family.
Note there is no wifi on the bus bring a guidebook to read or questions to ask your tour guide. Alternatively, make friends with the people around you I did not do this but have heard it is possible. Looking at other reviews on TripAdvisor, it seems a lot of people were confused about the morning pickup/meetup logistics. Call Viator a day or two beforehand so you know exactly what to do.
Lovely tour guide! She was fantastic! We so enjoyed our day! Interesting, fun, not too rushed, enough time to enjoy Stonehenge, lunch was good too!! It was a great tour!!
