Fantastic experience. The Beefeater tour was funny and informative. I strongly recommend getting to the site early to avoid long line ups mid afternoon.
Recommend this tour to anyone visiting London. The beefeater tour was interesting, his knowledge and interest in the area was evident and he gave an interesting and humorous tour.
Essential London experience. The Beefeater tour was good despite the crowded atmosphere.
Best tour - very interesting if into history will need a little longer than the recommended 3 hours
We enjoyed this tour of the TOL much more than we anticipated! The Beefeater tour was a must do!
We enjoyed not waiting in a long queue, and the self pace of the tour fit well into our schedule. Overall we enjoyed our experience!
Extremely interesting and fast entry into everything if you get there early. Easy ticket pick up.
Not to be missed. The Beefeaters are the most interesting guides.
I got there when it opened so I'm not sure I necessarily needed to have bought my ticket in advance but it was convenient! I spent at least four hours, there was so much to see. Go to the crown jewels first if you do get there early before the line gets long! I also highly recommend the Beefeater tour they do every hour.
An excellent tour. This is our second time going on this exact tour . Amazing Beefeater guide, very funny, great with kids.
Wonderful day. Lots to see here. We really enjoyed it. The crown jewels and the armor display were really good. The Beefeater tour is not to be missed and takes you to the church which I do not think is open otherwise. There was lots of history made here and it is well explained. One of the highlights of London.
The Tower of London is a must when visiting London, however, purchasing tickets early through Viator is not worth the extra fee. We still had to wait on line to exchange our voucher, then wait on line to enter. The tour description indicates a Beefeater tour which we assumed would be 25-30 people. Wrong, it was open to everyone and there must have been more than 80 on this tour. We could no hear a thing the Beefeater was saying and wwent off on our own. Go to the Tower of London, but go early and buy your own tickets!
Purchased only tickets and all worked smoothly. We did not have to wait in line to purchase tickets at the Tower of London and were able to get in right away. Suggestion to get there as early as possible in the morning.
This was a great experience. We had no real idea of what the history of the Tower was, but our Beefeater guide was funny, informative and a great story teller. Learning the history, and different uses of the Tower from defense, to castle, to a royal zoo, to the violence over the centuries was terrific. After the official tour, plan on spending time going through the buildings, as there are exhibits throughout. The Crown Jewels exhibit was the most crowded, but worth it. After you finish at the Tower, you can walk across the bridge and get some amazing photos.
it was a super experience....booking in advance with Viator permitted us to avoid the very long lines and join a tour of the Tower with a Beefeater guide much sooner. Otherwise, we would have spent a couple of hours more than was necessary to tour the Tower of London...well worth it.
A great day out. nice to be able to walk straight in not queue for tickets. Beefeater tour informative and very entertaining.
Good to get tickets in advance, that way you can skip the ticket line when you arrive. Get there before they open, and once you get inside head straight for the crown jewels' building. You'll be able to admire them before the massive crowd and queue that will form shortly after.
Fun to see the jewels and learn so much history. Liked the Beefeater tours but they were so many people in each group it was sometimes hard to hear
Robert was a great guide. He took us to some places that we had never heard of even though we had lived in London for a year. We had our grandson with us and Robert was very effective in communicating with him and focused on the points of interest for a 12 year old. Our grandson really enjoyed our tour.
