We were very pleased with our trip to Windsor Castle and our bus driver/guide made the travel time very enjoyable.
LOVE it! Would highly recommend it though should have taken the am trip instead because by the time bus arrived. We only had 2.5 hours to see everything..not enough time. The village of Windsor was great with many shops etc but not enough time to visit.
Absolutely loved Windsor Castle, unfortunately St Georges Chapel was closed when I was really hoping to see it. Driver was very nice.
Felt we should have been told that this tour really needs 3-4 hrs to due the sight properly as it was we had two hrs. and we running most of the time and missed 20% of property
It was so cool to see Windsor Castle, but we were pressed for time. Our bus arrived late and then we only had around an hour to see the castle. I wish there was more time to explore.
A good value for visiting Windsor Castle. However, we were not notified about the later start of the tour, which began one hour later than scheduled. This caused us to waste a good morning.
not enough time to see everything with calm... There is no reason why they couldn't give a extra half hour for this tours.
Guide, Atila, was a little hard to understand and didn't have much enthusiasm.
Golden tours not terribly well organised. Be warned about the long walk up stairs and hill to just reach the castle ground entrance. And it's all uphill from there! Thankfully the State Apartments are extraordinary and well worth the effort!
Was disappointed with this tour. Got to the bus location to pick up the tour and told to wait 1 hour as they told us the wrong time. Finally got to Windsor castle and the driver did not really know were to take us to get the tickets, walked around till we found it. The tour did not drop us back to the same location had to find our way back to London by subway or cab. Windsor castle was nice but DO NOT GO ON A SUNDAY. The chapel was closed (which I wanted to see) and also the changing of the guards (which we wanted to see) are not on Sunday. Can only say I have been there.
The tour left an hour later and the return was earlier than expected. We were left with only 2 hours to visit! We greatly enjoyed the castle but left with an unsatisfied feeling. Worth doing but for a full day.
This is NOT a tour it is transportation to the castle. Our driver was rude and got us there late. So we had less than 2 hours for the entire tour. I'm telling everyone NOT to use this service.
As positive as our airport transfer was unfortunately our trip to Windsor Castle was the opposite. The driver was totally unfamiliar with the destination and his bus. It was a very warm day and the air conditioning was apparently not working. The driver didn't have a clue how to approach checking it out. At one point he told one of the people in the back who complained to come up front and he would blow on him! On arrival he hit something on the bus beside us, had to ask how to get parking paid, and where to get tickets.. He took off with all of us trailing behind and luckily we were all young enough to keep up. Our leisurely day at Windsor was a rush to do the tour and return to the bus. On the return trip the air was STILL not working and it was quite warm. The driver opened his window and drank a cold Coke at a traffic light! He said that he was helping by making an early stop to let people off but couldn't tell us where exactly the next and final stop would be. Most of us just wanted OFF the bus at that point and all but a handful departed near the V and A Museum. I realize that at busy times substitute drivers need to be utilized but they should be familiar with what the tour requires. It was a very stressful experience and I'm not usually a complainer!!
