Battleship Iowa Museum Admission in Los Angeles

Head to the waterfront in San Pedro, a port community in Los Angeles, to use your ticket to the family-friendly Battleship Iowa Museum. The USS Iowa served the US for more than 50 years and was known as the 'Battleship of Presidents,' having hosted Franklin D. Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush. Roosevelt actually stayed in the stately captain's cabin — complete with bathtub — and planned World War II strategy there.

Wander the wooden decks of the battleship and witness its big guns and Tomahawk and Harpoon missiles. Through films and exhibits, learn about the ship's role during World War II, the Korean War and the Cold War. See crew quarters to get a feel for the everyday life of a sailor on the ship, and learn more about life at sea from onboard tour guides — many of whom are US Navy veterans. Kids can even participate in a fun scavenger hunt!

Tour this vast ship — the West Coast's only battleship open to the public — at your own pace. You'll find much to educate and entertain the whole family on this mighty vessel.

a great example of military and technical history. Great work of a lot of volunteers to save it and to get it on display.

This tour is fun for the whole family! Not only was it educational, but it was also amazing to see history right in front of you. The staff was really nice and professional and my kids had fun searching for the dog "Vicky" throughout the ship. We had a great time!

This is a true piece of wartime history. I had no idea the importance of this battleship, so am truly grateful to have been able to visit and learn so much about her.

Great, although it would have been better if you could see more of the ship, not least inside one of the turrets.
