The van was uncomfortable, but worth it.

Our driver was very nice and also acted as a bit of a tour guide by giving us some information about various points of interest as we drove past them.

We travel with a wheelchair, a party of four. Driver was fine but I doubted he had had training in dealing with the disabled. Delivery was fine ex-LAX to hotel. Price would have been cheaper by cab, which we did for the return trip.

Before our trip I had phoned and told the representative that we wanted a transfer from LAX to Universal Hilton hotel. I was told to purchase a transfer to LA Hotels online and print off a coupon. Upon our arrival, I had to beg a representative to give me some information on which shuttle to take. I gave the coupon to the driver who told me that I had purchased the wrong coupon. He spent the rest of the trip calling his dispatch and asking them how much more me should charge me. He kept calling every couple of minutes. It was really annoying. In the end, his dispatch told him not to charge me any other fees. He also drove around the airport three times looking for more customers even though the shuttle was full.

We were stuck in traffic for almost an hour and the driver would not stop talking! After a long flight the last thing you need is constant yak yak yak.

A cab might be the best if you need to get somewhere on a time line. I needed to get to the Grammy Awards and felt that the apathetic crew was lacking in spirit and direction.

The driver was not helpful and argued as to whether the vouchure was valid, and wanted me to pay cash and get a refund from Viator. I made him ring his office to clarify, which he reluctantly did. Then demanded a tip.

We were picked up no problem. The guy then rode around the airport a full time to pick up more customers for tips. Then he said Hollywood Blvd was closed and dropped us off 6 blocks away from where our hotel was. Our hotel was not on Hollywood Blvd. It was on Highland and the road to it was not closed and other shuttles were there picking up customers.

Driver scared all the passengers in the van with his erratic driving, not watching around him. Otherwise it was OK.

When we arrived at the Los Angeles airport we found the shuttle departure point but the people overseeing the shuttles were less than helpful. They didn't seem well organised and we had trouble convincing them that we had a booking and had already paid for the transfer. Overall a disappointing transfer but I don't think this was Viator's fault.
