Would have liked to see more of the coastal areas. The movie stars' homes tour was fun, but we didn't see any movie stars. Not even sure if that's their real homes. Downtown just seemed worn out and dirty. Not too many highlights in that area. Tour guide was trying to be funny, and I felt he told too many corny jokes and personal experiences that weren't relevant. I am glad we did the tour, though, because we were first time visitors to LA and had no idea where to go and what to see.

The tours were badly organized. One was late, which made the other one even later. The tour guide knew a lot, though. The tours also felt quite rushed.

The Tour Guide was very good apart from selling his book all day. I thought we would get to see more of Hollywood Blvd and the stars. Everything seemed very rushed and I didn't feel we had enough time in the more interesting places.
The Movie Star Homes tour good have been better, we saw a few peoples homes but it was mostly just a drive around the streets. It only lasted an hour maybe 1.5 hours.
The tour was great, though I was a little disappointed in the whole Hollywood thing.

The grand tour was not worth the money and is too long. It really is not very interesting to flying past some building that some old movie star you have never heard of once spent time in, or to see the facades of restaurants you can read these for yourself. The downtown part was particularly boring. It would be better is shorter and with a few longer stops at the Graumann Theater, Lebrea tar pits and the market. The movie stars home tour is a tour of the gates and fences of the homes - really is a rip off. Travel to and from the hotel really long about 2.5 hours.
