This was a great trip. All went smoothly. Richard was a fab tour guide. The tour did what it said it would and more - didn't feel rushed and a very good day. There were 5 of us on the tour, so nice to be a small group. And Hearst castle is definitely worth the trip - its a crazy place!
The Santa Barbara, Solvang and Hearst Castle Tour was very informative and very enjoyable. The tour guide did her utmost to make the tour one that we will remember and tell our friends about. I know the tour is lenghty but my suggestion is start earlier as we didn't get to spend much time in Santa Barbara, the weather was also a factor. More time to enjoy the sights we visited would change our rating from AAAA to AAAAA. Our visitor from Italy was overwhelmed by what she was able to see and photograph while on the tour.
Dorit was the consummate guide, a safe driver, very obliging, and made our day one to remember.
The tour guide Richard is nice, gentle and professiona. we had wonderful days with him.
The tour is invaluable and very worth visiting.
The tour guide was very professional, friendly and on time. He entertained me with Trivia. I was the only one that booked that day and I was impressed that Viator did not cancel and honored the voucher, I got a private tour!
This tour was the highlight of our vacation. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and a careful driver. ( I wish I remembered his name). The Hearst Castle is amazing and the trip up the California coast highway was beautiful.
The guide from the California Parks Department was both entertaining and informative, but after the official tour while walking around the grounds, it was clear, our Viator guide was equally, if not more knowledgeable.
Solvang and Santa Barbara were nothing special to us, but with such a long trip, we needed to stop somewhere. When we returned to Los Angeles, the guide/driver dropped us off at a taxi stand and waited until each participant was safely in a cab. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in the Hearst Castle and its history.
The trip was excellent. Beyond expectations. Dorit was a p,erasure to be with, very knowledgeable, informative and truly cared about her travelers. She went out of her way to make sure we were all ok from beginning of the trip until the end. We all had the best time and thoroughly enjoyed how much information she had on each destination. She is a very caring person whoe loves people and her profession.
this tour was amazing really enjoyable trip up coast. Hearst Csstle is out of this world, Solvang is a quaint little town and Santa Barbara is very nice, and our tour guide Ali R was fantastic he went out of his way to make sure we saw as much as possible and was very imformative. Thanks Ali "my god " it was a very memorable tour with loads of laughs :)
The tour was excellent. Was not what I initially expected but it ended up being one of the best tours ever. We had a great tour guide Richard S who was extremely knowledgeable and personable. My only complaint was that we were unable to tour Hearst Castle and was not advised until we got there.
Six of my life-long friends from Indiana and I loved this trip. We were able to experience so much of California in one day! Santa Barbara pier and down town were great. It was early, but we saw a lot and our guide showed us historic points of interest along with interesting background information. Solvang was great. We had an interesting, fun stop. Pastries were great. What a charming place. Hearst Castle was really great. The background information really interesting. My friends really enjoyed Hearst Castle! The trip up the coast and back was also interesting and beautiful. We had enough stops, so we were all comfortable. We would definitely suggest this tour. I would do it again. Great time had by all! I had already been to these locations over the years I've lived in CA, and I would go again!!
A long day, but worth it..adjustments were made to adapt to the weather conditions and this proved to be excellent. Can recommend this trip. Dale
the trip to in itself was great it was the driver that spoiled the trip driving 80mph, looking on his tune list, and fiddling with his map quest which caused him to drift into other drivers lanes..would not book again
The trip was okay, and indeed the Hearst Castle was amazing. But the whole tour experience would be much better if we could visit the places on the other way around: first at the Hearst Castle, then Solvang and finally to Santa Barbara. Because we arrived too early in the morning, neither in Santa Barbara nor in Solvang we could not enjoy the city very much. For instance, the mission church was still closed and we could not enter the inside, all the wine tasting place in Solvang was not open yet...
