Great trip for those on a tight time frame. Covers most of the "touristy" things in one day. If you want to do rides at Universal Studios though you would want at least a whole day just there. For our purposes though ( we don't do rides) it was perfect. Good commentary and a number of stops for photo ops.
We had a great tour!! Luck was on our side as we saw several Hollywood Stars on the red carpet, including Brad and Ange. Would have like a little more time at Universal Studios though. Thanks

Wonderful! However Universal Studios needs a lot of time, you may wish to plan for your trip to not be in the weekend or take the Universal Studios trip separately!
Had a great time. Tour guide was both knowledgeable and entertaining. Universal Studios was great fun with loads to do.

We did not get to see the stars in the pavement at Hollywood Boulevard, which was disappointing.
Universal Studios tour was fab. The organisation for the return trip to our hotels was absolutely woeful.
We were told to meet at one pickup point but the bus had not arrived and we had to trawl the car parks to find it. The bus driver had no idea where her passengers were. She said she would have to leave us alone on the bus for 5 minutes, she 'promised'. She returned 40 minutes later!
In total, we were delayed for an hour with the kids tired and wanting their meal.
We were given no explanation or apology.
This spoiled an otherwise enjoyable day.
We only had a day to spend in LA, and this tour was fantastic in allowing us to see all the points of interest in one day. Universal Studios is a must, that place is fantastic. The only slight downside is we could have spent more time at the Chinese Theatre and walk of fame, and may have been possible if the tour operators were a little more organised and left on time.
Our guide who led the"Movie Stars' Homes Tour City Tour" was fantastic! The only problem I had was with the tour company who put me on a bus with people from another tour because I was the only one signed up for this particular one but their tour was $10 - $15 cheaper but they got my more expensive one to "make it fair". My tip is pay for the "Movie Stars' Homes" tour and chances are you'll get the city tour for free!
It was a great day. The tour left on time, we had a great guide, saw Larry King at his house, he actually turned around and said good morning to us. We loved Universal Studios. We were picked up from our hotel on time, and dropped back off.
