The Universal VIP tour is fantastic, worth every cent!! Our guide was hilarious and very knowledgeable, helps that he had worked there for over 20 years!! The rides are awesome and all the shows were fantastic. Food is included for breakfast and lunch and was so yummy. And if you are still hungry the chef will cook you a burger to order, try the cheese and bacon burger, so delicious. Back lot tour was great and we managed to fit everything we wanted to do in, some rides 3 times.

Definitely worth the money. If you want to see all the major attractions, plus a more in-depth back lot tour, this is the only way to go. You get to see everything universal studios has to offer in a single day - no waiting in lines!

A lot of money for this tour but was worth every penny. The guide was great.

Very good day out, well worth doing. Lots to see and good trill rides.

This tour was fantastic. I'm not a fan of theme parks but this was brilliant! We chose the VIP tour, there were 9 of us in total in our group just the right size and our host was great. We were front of all lines, got discounts in the shops, complementary vouchers to use again within the year. The tour was great, you able to actually walk round some of the sets! All rides were great too. If you are planning on doing Universal Studios, go VIP!

If you are a big movie and tv fan, then it is a four star tour as even though the rides and shows will be enjoyed, the time on the sets and the like will be far more memorable.

Great, but not enough time after all the tours and shows to take full advantage of unlimited rides, especially Lower Lot which closed at 7:30pm. In hindsight would have chosen "Skip the Lines Front of Line Pass" - much cheaper.

This was a good experience. The front of the line passes were well worth it and you are very well seen after. It may not be much better than just buying the front of the line passes yourself. Although, if you are interested in films, the VIP tour does show things that aren't on the regular tour.

I only had three days in LA and wanted to do both Disneyland and Universal Studios. Coming all the was from Australia I had very little time and so many things to see. This was the best way to see Universal Studios away from the lines and crowds. I had a great personal tour guide and I was able to see behind the scenes where no other tourist was able to go. Overall it was a pretty good day in LA. I am a film and television teacher and had a ball. I would recommend it to all movie enthusiasts and travellers alike.

Paying extra for the VIP experience, in my opinion, wasn't worth it. My advice would be to buy the front of line pass and that is essential. You do get some decent food 'free' at lunch but other than that the whole VIP thing just means you get walked around in a group by a guide. This not only means you have to wait for others, it also means your day is planned for you and you don't get to choose which rides you go on. Hope this helps.

The guide was very knowledgeable and engaging during the tour. I would definitely recommend the tour over the standard tram ride. Unfortunately, the VIP buffet lunch seemed to be a low-budget affair. I would have preferred to be given credit for the many interesting restaurants and cafes at the park.

We had a good time. The guide and personal tour were nice, and the food was great, but the best part was the front of the line pass, which we could have bought for less and had just as much fun. The back lot pass was boring in my opinion, but my husband loved it. It all depends on your personality and interests. We're glad we did it, but if we go again, we'll just do the front of the line passes.

I booked this for a specific day and when I turned up I was told you had to call in advance to confirm. As a result I was advised to come back the next day. The tour guide, however, was very good.

Reviewed by: Jason O, United Kingdom, March 2008 Note from Viator: Jason, we're very sorry for the confusion. Due to the nature of the VIP Universal Studios tour all participants are required to call ahead and confirm a specific tour time. All of the necessary contact information is included on your pre-paid Viator voucher. Again, we apologize for the confusion.

All of the above instructions are included on your pre-paid Viator Voucher, so we are highlighting them here, again, to assist other travelers in avoiding a similar mix-up.
