Weather totally sucked but the guide was impervious. Kept our soaking, freezing spirits up.

Segovia was fabulous; the aqueduct, central square, and the Alcazar. The tour of Avila was short and little more than a walk to a mediocre church.

We did lunch on our own after reading others did not care for the tour lunch. It worked out well as we found a good little neighborhood spot full of local families and friends.

I took the tour without the lunch option, and enjoyed it very much. We had a good tour guide who walked slow enough so that everyone could keep up with her. My only complaints are first, in Avila I would have liked to walk a section of the wall and see how it was built and used for fortification, and second, I would have liked to stop outside both cities for scenic photos. While I had no problems with the guide or driver, I was not impressed with the travel office staff. They were cold and only notified the Spanish-speaking tourists an explanation for the late start of this tour. When asked to use the restroom, I was denied access while the staff frequented the facilities in front of me.

This was one of the highlights of our trip. This tour was at a great pace. Guide was very informative and did not rush us through each site. This one is a must!

We wish we had more time in Segovia, I think it's a sight enough for a full day tour.

Our tour guide was wonderful, very knowledgeable and courteous, fluent in both Spanish and English. I took the tour without the provided lunch and didn't regret it at all, got some extra picture taking in. Apparently the restaurant right by the Roman aqueduct in Segovia is quite well-known, so those who don't take the lunch tour could check it out if interested.

The bus was really comfortable and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. Despite the foggy weather and the difficulty to drive, the tour guide successfully managed to solve the problems and we still enjoyed the trip. Unlike other tours, this Avila and Segovia tour did not take us to go particular souvenir shops. Instead, they gave us two hours to explore the place by ourselves and buy things we liked. If you like culture, you will enjoy Segovia more.

Guide was helpful and friendly, bus was comfortable. Always difficult when guide has to use 2 languages, in this case Spanish and English.

The tour guide was excellent, and the bus ride driver was good. Overall, I felt that too little time was spent in Segovia overall. It felt like we ran through it. All in all, though, it was a good tour.

The tour is excellent. The tour guide said the minimum and avoided answering questions.

I was travelling with my husband and two girls ages 10 and 12. We all really enjoyed the tour. Avila and Segovia are wonderful towns. I would have liked to have spent more time in each, but we were able to cram a lot into one day.
Like other reviewers, I would recommend skipping the group lunch and instead doing lunch on your own in Segovia. This is more fun and gives you more free time to look around. All in all, a nice tour and a good value.
