This was a good way to see the lay-out of the. City and get acquainted switch where the major attractions where. But was surprised at how compact the city was.
Tour bus is the best way to see the city. I purchased a two day ticket and the bus stop was directly over the road from our hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful too :)
The Hop-on Hoff-off has always been a good experience in every European city we have travelled.
We took both tours. We did not get off but stayed on for the complete tour of both segments as out time that day was limited and we wanted an overview of the city. Both guides were very helpful and polite. Madrid is a lovely city and we enjoyed a longer stay on our return from the south.
The tour was outstanding. Provided access to the best areas of Madrid and the opportunity to see the city's history and sights in a short period of time. The ability to hop on and hop off is an added convenience and real time saver over trying to navigate the metro or find taxis. For the business traveler with only a short period of time for sightseeing, this is a highly recommended tour.

Gives a good history of the city and you can use as an alternative to the taxi. The two-day pass was great because it allowed us to explore. The old town bus goes over more area.

Fantastic, The only way to see the city and have the convenience of on and off. I never waited more than a couple of minutes for a bus!! Great info and great sights in a truly lovely city.

Doesn't matter what big city, if they have the Hop-on Hop-off tour, definitely take it, cheap and lets you get off where ever you like, see tourist spots and then just get back on again and get off at the next location, very good.
Highly recommended. Great way to view sights, get your bearings and convenient way to travel. Impressed with frequency of buses. Could do with better signage to find relevant bus stops but not a huge problem.
Perfect way to see a new city..easy to access with reasonable amount of time between buses.
