This is a great way of mapping the city first day on a short visit. There are frequent buses, and great stops and commentary. I would recommend this to everyone. You should be able to validate the vouchers for first use on the bus though.

For us who have only two days to be in Madrid, this is the most practical and economical way to do it. You get to see the important places of the city in so little time that you will have plenty of time for other things like shopping and tapas crawling at night. Being on the bus can be the rest time so you have that energy to spend. We did this in the springtime - weather was perfect!

We did the "Old Madrid" bus tour on our first day in Madrid. It was the perfect thing to do to get a feel for where we were and to relax and see some sights before we really dug into our trip. Also, the audio guide comes in several different languages. I wish all the menus did! I would highly recommend it!

This is absolutely worth the money. Taxis are not cheap. We took all the routes and got on and off several times. It gave us an idea where things were and if we wanted to revisit. The narrations were good and clear. We even went to lunch at a restaurant that was recommended by the staff. I would definitely do this again!

The hop on, hop off tour was very good; first you see the city and then you get off where you are interested. Then you hop on when you are tired and watch the city again. It was great.

The hop on hop off bus in Madrid was a great experience. It was within walking distance of our hotel, ran very often, stopped at all of the right stops, and gave us a very good overall history of the area.

There were two buses, one took you to the old stuff and one took you to the new stuff. It was a really short wait 3-5 min for the next bus after hopping off especially since we went in October.
