It was everything it promised. We purchased the lunch, and we were pleasantly surprised! Yum!
Great day with just the right amount of time. Both guides were very good, especially Nuria.
The tour guides were excellent. Pacing of tour and information presented was to the point, and extremely interesting. Both guides were approachable for questions.
Impressed by the monuments both at El Escorial and Valley of the Fallen. Magnificent views from the Valley of the Fallen Monument. interesting tour of Toledo, a medieval city with a lot of walking on cobbled streets. Good guides.
Good value ! but if want to spend more time in Toledo take a separate tour
Very well organized and good coverage of subject matter. However, the guide could be more friendly. Although she knew her subject, she has a "I do not care for you" attitude. When she collected us from the tour office, she just announced the tour quickly and quickly turned around and went out and left a number of us wondering if it is the tour for us.
I am usually wary of tour companies that are advertised everywhere. But I took my chance and boy was I in for a surprise. People told me:"you can't do La Escorial, valley of the fallen and Toledo in one day?" But Viator did it. Excellent guide, fantastic service and great people. Would so do it again!
A great trip; morning Escoreal and Valle de los Caides, afternoon Toledo. A little pity: the two hour lunchstop in Madrid. Better would be directly from Valle de los Caides to Toledo and have the lunch for overweighted tourists there. We would have had two more hours for sightseeing in Toledo.
This was excellent. However we were unable to book Prada and sight seeing tour as web site would not let me check out. Also I have tried to book Katmandu tour but no luck either. I have e mailed help centre and I response so have give. Up sadly
This was a very interesting tour, especially the Toledo portion.
The tour was incredible! I had been to Toledo before (on my own) but it was well worth taking a tour and getting more insight/knowledge of everything in Toledo. I was pleasantly surprised by everything El Escorial had to offer. The tour guide was great...very glad I took this tour.
Excellent tour. I would recommend to reverse the tour order in the winter, Toledo is beautiful and should be seen while still light is on.
Absolutely beautiful! Excellent tour, except that your pass many great tourist shops in Toledo only to get extended time at one that is not so good.
I loved Toledo!!!! A very nice city and I like the tour a lot. Our guides were very good and knowledgeable.
This was a great tour. I enjoyed the tour guide for the first part of the trip; for the Toledo trip, the tour guide was not very nice. Although you should visit both places, this is quite a lot to do in one day.
It was a wonderful experience. The guides were very nice and had a very broad knowledge. The tour was organized, punctual, and for us, a spectacular encounter with history, art and Spanish architecture of each period.
I enjoyed the tour, but would have loved to spend more time in Toledo. On our particular tour we visited El Escorial and Valle de los Caidos first, then headed back to Madrid and had about an hour down time for lunch before visiting Toledo. However, by the time you get to Toledo, there is just enough time to go on the guided tour before night falls and you are taken back to Madrid. Toledo is beautiful and has so much more to see than could really be appreciated in the short time there. Perhaps starting the day in Toledo and allowing more time to explore the city would be great!
Unfortunately you take a gamble on how many languages are going to be given on each bus trip.Morning half day Monastery very good.(Only 2) Toledo half day afternoon had 3 languages, too many. Poor guide!! (And us!!) Time she finished 3 times explaining everything we had to move on. OK for first language to have a look around afterwards!! Also some people had to taxi back from last stop to bus, as they could not make it back. A rating of moderate or extreme walking should appear on every trip description to give people an idea. The use of earphone system would also improve your tours greatly.
