Must do if you're in Madrid, Ishmael brought us to awesome places that he himself visit.
He was very informative and friendly. Met new friends along the way as well.
Look no further for a tapas and wine tour around Madrid. Enrique was a true professional - knowledgeable about the area, local history, wine regions, and an all around personable guy. Visited 4 fantastic tapas bars normally reserved for locals and was introduced to a wide variety of tapas and wines to kick off our Madrid trip. Highly recommended!
Had the best time. The tour guide was amazing and so was the food/drink
This was a real surprise and a great, great tour. Thinking that we had been in Spain already for a week we weren't expecting anything wonderful from this tour and we decided to leave if it was boring. We met our group in front of the theater and we were a pleasant group of 11 with a very fun and knowledgeable guide named Ishmael. Many of us had the same thought of bailing if it wasn't very good, but after just a few minutes, none of us were going anywhere that Ishmael wasn't going. We started at the first bar that served us delicious wine not just a tasting but a good pour, shrimp in garlic oil, large fried shrimp, bread for sopping up the garlic oil and other things. I was expecting only one tapas per bar, but this was not the case. At each bar we were served many tapas, all delicious, with something for everyone. Refills on the wine were a pleasant surprise. Our guide was enthusiastic and gave us some great background history on these bars. One good surprise was El Toro del Oro , the famous bar of the matadors. Stuffed bull heads and great photos of famous matadors covered the walls. This bar is a must for visitors to Madrid and we were graciously served plenty of tapas and wine here. By this time we were all happy campers and a close group, chatting and laughing and we were able to sit at a large table together to sample the last of our wine and served three separate desserts. I couldn't recommend this more.
Excellent tour, highly recommend. Our tour guide was great and we were pleasantly surprised at the amount of food we received. G
Good choice of Tapas bars, excellent tour guide and good company. All-in-all, great value for money.
An excellent evening with interesting food and wine plus the advantage of seeing and experience an aspect and area of Madrid we would not experienced on our own.
The tour was great, Ishmael was an excellent tour guide. We learnt some of the history of the areas and bars we visited and tried a number of different drinks with local tapas dishes. Tried Vermouth, sweet red wine, white wine, a full bodied rioja.
Really enjoyed the experience and met some interesting people on the tour as well.
I highly recommend this tour. Enrique was an amazing tour guide and very knowledgeable about wine and the tapas. We toured four local bars/restaurants and each one was unique experience. The food and wine were delicious.
Superb. Generous in quality and quantity of food and wine, great guide Ishmael. One of the best experiences on my trip from a non- tour girl
The best food tour I have been on!!! Great food, excellent wine and nice guide Ismael. A must do when in Madrid, ideally early on so you know where to dine out
Excellent! Great tapas and bars. Very little walking between bars.
Great tour and Guide.
The tapas and wine was vewry good and lots of it.
Ishmael was an excellent leader and we really enjoyed the small number in the party which ga ve us chance to meet people from other countries. From that we are in contact by e mail with an American couple who have invited us to stay if we are ever in the vicinity.
A definite must do in Madrid. It's fun, relaxing and you get a chance to meet interesting people as well. Our tour guide Ismael was absolutely great and shared good knowledge about the historic city of Madrid.
A fabulous way to begin our introduction to Madrid. It was the right size walking group, great guide whose knowledge of wines added to the experience, and overall a fun experience....would do it again! Connected with others in our group who we went to dinner with the following evening. Donna H
Ismael was a wonderful guide. His knowledge of the city and its food was extensive. It was a great experience.
Our guide, Ishmael, took us to 4 tapas bars, where the small servings of many types of foods were all fantastic. Ishmael has a wonderful sense of culture and history, combined with sense of humor. We had a great time, met lots of nice people. All that, plus great wines. We would highly recommend this tour.
A very comprehensive look at Madrid and it's Tapas bars, lived the tour and would recommend it to everyone
What a great night! Great wine, tapas and a great guide. Most of our group knew each other but four people from 2 different countries joined us. It was fun getting to know them. The whole evening was fun, walking from bar to bar, seeing different parts of Madrid and learning how Spainards enjoy tapas and wine. Our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Would do it again!
Our tour guide Enrique has a rich knowledge of the city as well as the hidden gems amongst the many tapas outlets. He even led us to the tapa outlet that first offered gambas al ajillo! I highly recommend this tour and of course Enrique
Jaime was extremely knowledgeable, very friendly. Was a great tour to get some of the story of the wine's regions
We had such a fun time on this tour! We booked the Tapas tour for our first night in Madrid and it was a great introduction to Spanish Tapas and how everything works. We tasted some amazing food and our host, Enrique was wonderful! He really did a fantastic job. We would definitely recommend this tour. Was a great experience and we felt worth the price.
Alejandro was an excellent guide and took us to some great bars to sample many types of wines and beers!
