fabulous sight to visit.
Probably the highlight excursion of our holiday. Comfortable clean bus. We appreciated that we were picked up at our hotel in Marabella rather than travel to Malaga as well as dropped off at the end. Ronda and the Gorge were fabulous. A special unexpected treat was snow on the upper mountains.
What a beautiful city and a beautiful tour! The countryside is breath-taking. We loved every minute of it. A great tour!
The trip was excellent. Would like to have had an hour to look in the cute shops on the cobble stone streets. We did the tour had an hour for lunch and had to get back on the bus. Lots of driving, but all in fall would recommend it to everyone.
Ronda was fantastic, the view and the city, as well. It was a little bit disturbing that the guide was talking in 6 languages. A maximum of 3 languages would have been enough. We also went to visit the centre of Marbella. Although it i s nice, but I would have preferred to stay more in Ronda, because this way, we had to hurry up there and Ronda is much more beautiful that Marbella. Moreover in the determined programme Marbella is not even included!!
Good evening. I did not think the guide was very interested.
Allow me to start by saying that Rhonda was spectacular! The disappointments in our journey were based on the operation. Had we better understood the logistics, we may or may not have decided to go – but we would not have been frustrated by the surprise. So here are the facts:
The bus picked us up at 07:10 in Málaga. We did not arrive in Rhonda until 11:30. At 15:30, we left Rhonda and did not arrive back in Málaga until around 19:30. 8 hours of this 12-hour trip were spent on the bus, and only half of that in Rhonda. The rest was spent making between 10 and 15 stops along the Costa del Sol to pick up other passengers at their hotels.
The tour guide on the bus did not begin until all passengers had boarded, more than 2.5 hours after we were picked up, and around the first time a bathroom break became available. When the tour officially began, all information and announcements were made in 3 languages: English, Spanish and French. When the same helipad was pointed out 3 times in 3 languages, we heard the announcement 9 times.
Once we arrived in Rhonda, the groups broke out by language and we had an all-English tour, albeit in a low volume for the size of the group (many people didn’t bother trying to crowd around and simply couldn’t hear). The two+ hour guided portion was rushed, and it was repeatedly stated that that those who fell behind would be left. In reality, those who wanted enough time to take pictures of the {magnificent} sites were admonished to the rest of the group; but I don’t believe anyone was left. After the wine tasting we had some free time for a late lunch.
I was picked up three hours before arriving at Ronda. There was a lot of shuttling along a busy congested stretch and little time at Ronda. I was able to appreciate how congested the Costa del Sol has become, but spent more time in traffic than in Ronda.

Direction for meeting point in Malaga in Viator email is incorrect. it was not any representative 15 before bus departure. Bus stopped for 30 seconds near the Barklays bank and leave... You must be there. Also, it takes four (4!) hours to get to Ronda from Malaga. That would leave ~2 hours for tour in Ronda. In Ronda, we stopped for 3 minutes on the gorge and ran to the "vine museum". Vine testing took another 30 minutes of our time in Ronda... At the end we stopped at the bull ring for another 30 minutes. Our tour guide just pointed on museum, and did not go there! A day of my vacations was spend in the bus. I will not recommend this tour to anybody.
Ronda was a beautiful place well worth a visit. But be AWARE! On this sight its says its a 1,5 hour bus drive, we spent 4 hours on the bus! It picked us up at 7 in Malaga and then spent 3 hours picking up people along the coast!!! And we werent back in Malaga until half past seven in the evening( should have been around five according to the trip info) So a good thing we hadnt booked anything else for the evening that we probably would have missed then. And in the bullring we got five minutes to look at the museums, not much time to stroll and look at all the bautiful clothes. It felt like the guide was very stressed. But dispite all we can have a god laugh now about everything :)
Guests joining this tour in Malaga are confronted with a serious negative. Apart from collecting the ticket upon boarding, the guide did not say one word (not even good morning) for about 1.5 hours while the bus picked up more guests at various sea coast towns. The return trip was much the same. So fthe day began and ended with 3 hours of silence. It would have been wonderful to hear a little history aboput the small Costa del Sol towns we were visiting but that was not the case. The guide did the bare bones minimum he had to do and that was it.
Waste of time and money. 2 1/2 hrs picking up people. 1 1/2 drive. Given 15 minutes to "taste wine" with plastic medicine cup from 5 unlabeled spigots on the wall, use the toilets, visit gift shop and leave. No vine history, etc. we're spoiled by California wine country. 4hrs return trip.
Our family trip to Ronda was extremely disappointing. What was described as a 1.5 hour direct trip turned into a 4 hour, 7 stop ( one so our bus driver could get some coffee) journey along the coast to pick up other tourist. The actual time in Ronda was about 4 hours, guided tour being 11/2 hours. The guide Paco was rude and only took us to the wine tasting after several of us insisted. The wine tasting consisted of one small plastic cup of wine, while standing in a room that once had been a winery. The group did not go into the church and at the bull ring, Paco left the group in the middle of the tour and we were told to make our way back to the bus station at 3:15. The walk to and from the bus station was over a mile. Knowing that we were taking the same route back to Malaga and we had not planned for the extra time, our family had to take a taxi back to Malaga. Of course this was very expensive for us. The whole tour was a HUGE fiasco!!!! Many in the tour group were as upset as we were. This was definitely not the tour that was described on the website.

Worst trip I have ever had. The town Ronda was beautiful. But due to change of our trip (that we we were not inform of. It ruined my whole expectation). I never got to see the wineyard that I payed for. And to add, our guide was not serviceminded at all. He was rude didnt even introduced himself and was not interested in anwering our questions. It just seemed that he just wanted to get it over with and didnt even bothered to say goodbye at the end of the trip.
This was my first trip with Viator and it will probably be my last.
Unfortunately, this was not our best experience. The information online about the length of the bus ride was grossly understaded and the guded tour could easily have been done on our own. The driver even added an unscheduled stop on the way home which made the bus ride even longer. All said we spent almost 8 hours on a bus. Do it on your own.
