What You Can Expect
Next, visit the Plaza de Toros, the oldest bullring in Spain that has staged some of the most important events in bullfighting history, as your guide will explain. The bullring has its own museum, which boats a collection of memorabilia including photos of famous bullfighting fans, such as Ernest Hemingway and Orson Welles.
Continue your day trip to the Bodegas La Sangre de Ronda wine cellar, where you'll enjoy a guided tour of the winery, learn about Spanish wines and sample a local wine.
Enjoy free time to explore Ronda and enjoy a traditional Spanish lunch or Andalusian tapas at a local restaurant (own expense). Take in more magnificent views of the El Tajo gorge before relaxing on a comfortable drive back to Malaga.
It was a wonderful outing even though we had rain. I had read that the pick ups took a long time before heading up into Ronda, with this being said I was prepared for it and got to see beaches that we wouldn't have seen if not on the bus. The only one thing that we could really complain about was finding the tour bus. We were told that the bus picked up on n11 bus route in Malaga in front of a bank and a green newspaper stand, they are every where. Luckily another tour bus took us down the street to our ride. The tour guide was really very good and informative. Great tour and wine tasting.
Straight forward pick up, comfortable coach and informative guides. Ronda is lovely with a spectacular gorge and the oldest bullring in Spain. Our guide was very informative and ensured that after some free time to explore Ronda we could fiind our way back to the coach park easily. Only issue is the fact that 48hours prior to taking the trip, one has to phone during office hours to get an English speaker. With modern communications, surely an email or text with relevant details reference number and name should be sufficient to confirm that one is travelling!
A really excellent trip with a very knowledgeable guide. Ronda is a lovely town to explore. Travel time from Malaga with hotel pick-ups is a bit long so take a book.
This trip was excellent! The city is spectacularly beautiful and we got to see it all. We got to go to a wine tasting in a very old winery which was really fun and delicious and broke up what could be a tiring experience of walking around from place to place in the heat. We also got to go into the bull ring and see where the bull fights are which was a colorful mix. This was a perfect tour.
The famous bride and gorge were incredible and we would certainly do the trip again. The bull ring was also interesting and our guide, Damien, was great. The only negative is that we were the first on the bus in the city center and it took about another 1 1/2 hours to pick up everyone else in the resorts west of Malaga. The process was repeated in reverse on the way back.
The trip I took to Ronda was terrific. It was all day and worth every minute. MRonda is a most unusual place with buildings perched on top if the gorge, but it is so worth seeing. Out tour guide was terrific andnv very informative also. A must, don't miss this tour.
A must see in Andalucia. It could have been much better if it wasn't fr the hotel pick-up in Torremolinos, Benalmádena and Marbella... they picked me up in Malaga at 7:00 AM and we took the road to Ronda at aboiut 9:45 AM... that's extremely bothering, especially that you do it again on your way back to Malaga
Knowledgable tour guide, clean and comfortable bus -great!
