Why Our Insiders Chose This Tour

What You Can Expect
Your first stop is Maison Tiskiwin, a museum of treasures from across Morocco and the Sahara collected by a Dutch anthropologist. Learn the stories behind the pottery, sculptures, carpets and musical instruments in this fascinating museum from your guide.
Next, you'll visit Bahia Palace. Wander the numerous rooms and courtyards and admire the mosaics, woodwork and fountains as your guide shares tales of the sultans who once lived here with their wives, concubines and slaves.
Continue your tour at the Photography Museum of Marrakech, which has a collection of 4,500 photos that offer a glimpse of life in Marrakech a century ago. Admire stirring portraits of locals, village scenes and images of the Berber tribes of the Atlas Mountains that will give you a better understanding of Marrakech's history and culture.
Finish your educational and exciting 4-hour walking tour of Marrakech back in Djemaa El-Fna, where your guide can give you directions back to your hotel or you can continue exploring the mesmerizing medina on your own.
Our local guide was very helpful and provided lots of interesting information of the different venues that we visited. It was something we did at the beginning of our stay to help us find our way around Marrakech. Our guide also recommended local restaurants which we found to be excellent value for money.
This walking tour was very good as it included several other places of interest not mentioned in the itinerary. I'm not sure if this was because the guide was following a different tour to the one that was booked, as initially we were not going to the Photography museum but after I showed him the booking confirmation for this tour, he had to check with his office and then we were back on track.
It felt like a private guide as there was only myself and my wife on the tour, so we had a personal service. The guide also showed us around a communal bakery, an old caravanserai and the Koutoubia mosque, as well as various parts of the souq that the average tourist would probably miss.
