Trip was cancelled due to bad weather.. But they recommended another day trip of the 4 valleys..
Had an amazing day in the Atlas Mountains.. Seeing snow, greenery..
The best was eating lunch in a local Berbers house! An absolute amazing experience
I actually went on the 3 Valley's Tour as this one wasn't able to run. It was an amazing day out, our guide was amazing and he made it a day to remember.
I booked in for this tour but once in Marrakech changed to the Three Valleys Tour instead and had a really enjoyable day out. Chakib, our driver and guide, was knowledgeable and friendly and truly made it a day to remember. What could only have enhanced this wonderful experience would have to been kidnapped and held to ransom by a Berber!
Beautiful drive thru the Atlas Mountains to get to Ouarzazate! Our driver/tour guide was great. He picked us up promptly at pick-up time and told us to take our time finishing breakfast as we were the only two people on tour that day. I felt bad for the guy, he drove us around for ten hours that day. Five up and five back and never once complained about the drive or his job. We were so impressed with our driver we hired him the next day for a Marrakech private city tour. We both tipped our guide $20 USD each which he was very happy to receive. The conditions going thru the Atlas Mountains were at times bad as it was mid-January. There was heavy snow in the morning, but cleared up going back to Marrakech late afternoon. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an adventure!
Fine trip - journey of 4 hours to ourazazate over the Atlas Mountains was long and worth it. However, it's nowhere near the Sahara desert as the itinerary suggests.
Ait Benhadou was picturesque as well. Basically, it's 8 hours in the car for 3-4 hours of sightseeing. Not bad but not great either.
This trip was so thrilling...me and my son thoroughly enjoyed it, away from the hustle of the city...quite relaxing and the guide was very accomodating and stopped often so we can see teh mountain views and highlights...was very kind and helpful....well worth the long day...
Good way to see several locations if you are short on time. Could be improved there was some commentary during the trip.
The views of the Atlas mountains is fantastic, this said I would rather see them in sunshine than in a blizzard of snow, driving without winter tyres on a very steep mountain road without road rails and a 1500 meter drop if we loose our grip of the road....
I also think that Driver is a better name than Guide for our companion on the trip. For me a guide walks us round the sights, explains what we see and answer all questions we might have, not just drive us to the different sights and point us in the right direction - go that way... Maybe I have too high expectations since i have worked in the travel industry for 20 years... Our driver was a very nice och polite young man who spoke ok english, and could answer general questions about Morrocco, but not a guide in my eyes.
