Without a doubt the highlight of our trip so far. The tour exceeded our expectations and was well worth the price.
The day was long albeit interesting throughout thanks to our fantastic tour guide Mustafa who was funny and informative during our trip.
The three valleys are beautiful with the landscape changing through each one with amazing views of the Atlas mountains. Mustafa was only too willing to stop when we requested to take photos at points along the way.
The argan oil visit was interesting; we did not feel pressured at all to buy anything.
The trip to the waterfalls was a extremely fun experience; without a doubt you need a guide as the route is very tricky and involves some level of fitness and courage.
Our meal in the berber house had an incredible setting of the mountains; our group could not believe how beautiful it was. And for the price you get a lot of food!
We completed our trip with a visit to plateu kiki which was a beautiful clear blue.
I'm not usually one to write reviews but this was such a good tour. Even when my friend left her coat in the 4x4 the company kindly dropped it off the next day.
Absolutely worth the trip! Great guide and fantastic landscapes.
Excellent day trip from Marrakech. I really enjoyed the landscape and the photo opportunities we had. Travelling in February during the winter was a plus as the top of the mountains were covered with snow. The lunch was AMAZING. I think the tour is very expensive, not sure I would do it if I was on a budget even more after adding the extras, such as lunch, lake visit and guide to the waterfall. However, it was an amazing experience and they were very flexible with our arrangements.
The walk to the waterfall was a highlight, and the berber house for lunch was amazing - on a rooftop overlooking a valley and the view was breathtaking. Easily worth the money.
The day a relaxing break from the hectic city center. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and made the trip an experience we will never forget.
We were very impressed by the driver who was charming, well informed and very tolerant of our stops en route. Predictably he took us places where you were encouraged to learn about the local culture (very interesting) but then be invited to buy local produce - however we didn't feel under any pressure to buy. Lunch was in a tucked away place in a Berber's home - whilst on the chilly side, the food was delicious, with the tagine having been prepared on charcoal. Certainly when we returned to Marrakech and visited the Berber museum in the 'Yves St Laurant' gardens, we had a rich insight into the local culture and history. We didn't take the option of visiting the lakes since by the end of the day we felt we had seen a good variety of places. If you do this trip do take sensible walking shoes. The walk to the waterfall is worth while but is a little steep in places.
We enjoyed the tour. The guide was very good and full of information and a very careful driver. Sadly we didn't get to the top of the first valley as the road was closed with flooding. The meal in the Berber house was most enjoyable. Would recommend this trip.
A wonderful trip, superbly organised. Our driver and guide, a young man called Abdul was excellent, a very friendly, careful, considerate driver who went out of his way to make the experience enjoyable by sharing his local knowledge with us and taking great care to ensure that our every need was catered for. The visit to the Berber village and meal with the family was a once in a lifetime experience. I recommend this trip most highly to everyone and cannot praise our driver/guide and the travel company too much - they are exceptionally good. Thank you very much for a great day out that we will always remember. Thank you Abdul.
This was a truly wonderful experience, our guide, Jawad was charming and very professional! My husband and I were picked up at the designated time in his 4x4, we then proceeded to the Medina to collect another passenger, three of us in total. Because we were a small group it was very personal, we were given the options of Camel ride, (we opted out of this) the next option was the Waterfall which all three of us agreed upon, for my husband at 76 years old the climb up proved rather challenging and he stopped halfway, I managed it (at a few years younger) but would have done better with the right footwear, the boulders were very slippery, I feel that it may be a good idea to advise participants before they decide to agree on the Waterfall option. Loved the option of the Berber lunch, the food was delicious and the view superb, a little cold though sitting on the roof, could have done with more clothing! Would not hesitate on recommending this tour!
This trip was one of the highlights of our holiday, the views were stunning, we had lunch with a Berber family on a terrace overlooking fantastic views, it was a absolutey brilliant excursion.
The trip was excellent - definitely one of the highlights of my visit to Morocco. Everything was very well organised and the guide (Mustafa) was super friendly and funny.
Massively enjoyable day. The tour company called the day before to confirm pick-up time, before we even tried to find the number to call them, Tour driver Mustafa arrived on time, was as excited as us about the day trip. He was flexible, informative, had a great sense of humour and really made an effort to make personal touches, The lunch in Berber village was a highlight, probably the best food our whole holiday. The valleys were jaw-droppingly beautiful and the trek up Ourika valley good fun. The guide that accompanied on the trek was lovely - the company use the same guide for their tours. We did have to spend extra on the day for lunch and tour guide so the day worked out quite expensive but was worth it.
Excellent trip, as advertised, through varied and stunning countryside, not too rushed as only ourselves (three people) and one other couple on the tour. Guide was informative and helpful. If time allows would seriously recommend at least one trip out of "hectic" Marrakech to see a different side to Morocco. The Ourika valley was particularly spectacular. The included stop at an Argan Oil manufacturing village was surprisingly informative and enjoyable. Seeing Tom Cruise film part of the new Mission Impossible movie was certainly an unexpected / unplanned addition to the tour !!.
