This is best way to see the most important place at Marseille. We take the tour twice ina day and was really helpful.
It was a great tour! Very good organised, friendly and happy bus driver ! I would highly recommend to get off and see notre de dame!
The best way to know any city is by a sight seeing bus tour. They will show you the best spots on the town and after that it is up to you to go on your own.
Marseille is one of the cities that is worth sight seeing on foot.
lovely tour
This was a nice bus tour.
this one was super - no complaints.
Excellent way to see the sights of the city. Very picturesque scenery, great view from the open top bus.
Excellent. The voucher exchange ould not have been easier - done on the bus. The journey was extensive and the commentary informative - we were very pleased.
Not much to do in Marseille, so the hop on hop off tour was perfect and economical. We never got off the bus (though you can to check out different points). Total tour takes about 1 1/2 hours. We decidied not to get off because the bus only comes around once per hour and we didn't see anything that we wanted to committ and hour to (the cathedral at the top of town was tempting). In addition, our cruise stop was like 1/2 day so we were a little concerned about being left at a stop (or the bus fills up and they skip you). Warning: we were unaware that you have to take a shuttle bus into town to catch the bus. The cruise provides the shuttle, but it costs you $12 each. A little surprise for our family of four.
Very scenic and informative. Make sure you go to the old port to pick up the tour not the commercial port.
We had a very short time to spend in Marseille, so we pretty much stayed on the bus. We enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to any first time visitor.
This was an ok option. We used the bus more as a our of the city than a hop-on hop-off tool. The bus ride was enjoyable, and the audio guide adequate. Our biggest problem with this tour was locating the bus stop. The voucher did not give explicit instructions on where to find the bus, so we asked around, and several local workers had never even heard of it. We finally ended up calling the hotline, and the operator gave us the address of the bus stop. When we finally located the correct place, we saw why we had walked past it twice without noticing it- it's a tiny little sign high up on a pole. If you don't know what emblem to look for (which you don't, because it's a local service only booked by Viator), you'd never notice it. Other than that, the tour was acceptable.
Us takes a long time but does allow you to see the entire city. Depending on where your cruise ship docks you might have to take a taxi or shuttle into city center to get on bus.
Our Marseille shore excursion was canceled due to bad weather. Instead, the ship stopped in another port called Toulon. It's a beautiful port!
Hop on Hop Off bus was Ok but the city of Marseille was dirty and not particularly interesting. More of a working city and the least liked of our trip.
