What You Can Expect
Rising over 10,000 feet (3,000 meters) from sea level, Haleakala is renowned for its unique scenery. On his visit in 1866, Mark Twain was moved to write that this dormant volcano was "the most sublime spectacle I ever witnessed and the memory of it will remain with me always."
Your Haleakala Sunrise Tour begins with a scenic late afternoon drive through Upcountry Maui, where you'll pass the Pu'u Ula'ula Overlook and the island's rare luminous Silversword plants. When you reach the summit, you'll have panoramic views, and on clear days, can see Big Island, Lana'i, Moloka'i, and even Oahu.
Worry-free Shore Excursion:
We will ensure your timely return back to the ship in Kahului pier for this activity. If your ship is delayed and you are unable attend this activity, your money will be refunded. See our terms and conditions for full details.
Excellent trip. I thought we would be clouded in but by the time we got to the summit, we were actually over the clouds and a beautiful sunset ensued. Well worth it
This sunset is well worth the journey. There is so much to see in addition, but bring a warm coat! Cold up there!
This was an awesome trip above the clouds and the sunset was perfect. The bus driver was so professional and excellant narrator of local sites and info. all while driving!!
Closest thing to Heaven!!!!!!!!
Very good, as advertised.
Trip up an down the mountain took lots of time. I would have enjoyed getting to the top a little earlier to explore a little more before the sunset. The sunset was amazing. No complaints with that.
The trip to the top of Mt Haleakala at sunset was awesome. The top of Mt Haleakala was above the clouds which made sun set spectacular. Do not forget to take warm clothes as it is VERY cold at sunset.
Trip up the mountain and back down was long, but worth it for the view and the sunset. Need to bring something warm to wear as the temperature was quite chilly. Tour guide was knowledgable, but not too chatty as some of the others were.
A once in a lifetime experience and staff was very knowledgeable.
