Fun and professional staff. Wonderful way to spend our daughter's 14th birthday as a family!

Our guide and an excellent instructor on how to Kayak and Snorkel. Being a native Hawaiian he shared his knowledge of the area and the topography of the coral reef we were going to snorkel. I have never kayaked before but found it to be very easy with his instruction. All the equipment was provided for us making the experience very easy. Everything from equipment, to life preservers, to dry packs, even bottled water was all taken care of. We kayaked out to an amazing sight with great views of Maui as well as neighboring islands Molokai and Kahoolawe. The snorkeling location was incredible teaming with a myriad of fish. We saw Angel and Butterfly fish, Tangs, Puffer fish, and Wrasses. We even got the thrill of snorkeling amongst Sea Turtles. We look forward to our next trip to Maui so we again snorkel and kayak, and experience the beauty of Hawaii.

THE PERSON THAT TOOK US OUT WAS A LOT OF FUN. HE MADE THE TRIP VERY ENJOYABLE. BUT WITH BOOKING WITH VIATOR WE WERE NOT ABLE TO PICK OUT OUR LUNCH SO WE HAD TO HAVE WHAT WAS LEFT OVER

Nice trip-a bit too long /physical for inexperienced kayakers. Because of this, our trip was cut a bit short because another couple was late to check in and could not keep up with the rest of the group. But saw places/reefs/beaches we would not have gone to otherwise. Lunch was nice. Overall a nice experience, would recommend the shorter session for first timers or people who are not physically active. Note: Very hard to get in and out of a kayak on open water unless you have upper body strength. If you are physically active, this is a really nice cross training workout for the day, with cool fish/turtles/scenery to look at.

On another note, VIATOR handled a refund for us in a quick, professional manner. I have used VIATOR for two trips now and consistently recommend this company to others who are traveling.

This was the highlight of our trip to Maui! Even though we stayed in Kaanapali, we did the south shore Kayak tour off Makena Landing and we were glad we did. Even the drive to Makena (via the town of Kihei) shows yet another side of Maui often not seen by those staying north of Lahaina. Our Guide Brandon was great – he was very easy going and experienced. Viator’s small group tour is much better for kayaking as we saw another company with at least 12 people which looked not as enjoyable. The kayaking is very easy, everyone was able to launch and get in and out of their kayak. Our Snorkel spot was great and we saw a number of turtles, fish and plenty of sea life living off the coral reef. When we had a question about what types of fish we saw, Brandon was right there with the answer. It was a great morning of kayaking and snorkeling without the crowds. I highly recommend this for any visit to Maui – it is something different and memorable.
