We were a repeat customer of this tour and enjoyed it again. The staff is very knowledgeable regarding the whales. A must see when in Maui
We had a great time, the tour guide was great she was as excited to see whales as everyone else on the boat.
The trip was fantastic, the captain did his utmost to follow as many whales as possible. This was difficult as there were so many whales.mwe watched a juvenile breach time and time again and even followed a females who was being chased by two males. They put a microphone in the water so we could hear the singing and calling which was an amazing sound. The crew could jot be any better in trying to follow as many whales as possible. Unfortunately none came up to the boat asks they did in the previous day as told by a laSy who had been on the previous day as well. Great tour.
This was a wonderful tour! If we had known how exciting it was going to be, we would have booked it for at least three more times on this same visit to Maui!!
While having dinner at Merriman's in Kapalua the evening before, I told my husband that I had gotten a great early-bird deal on the whale watch tour. His face fell and he said "you chose it by the cheapest price? Are we going to be riding on a Wal-Mart blowup raft"?
Anyway, the boat and crew were great and we had a wonderful time! Thank you very much!
This was a great trip. There were so many whales putting on their show. Our guide was full of information.
What an experience! We saw several whales and the view and boat ride was great! The guide was super knowledgable about whales and gave us great information!
We had a great time! The staff was very knowledgable and helpful!
We didn't see very many whales but it was very early in the season!
I would recommend this trip!
This was everything I hoped it would be! I was concerned that being the beginning of the migration of those magnificent humpbacks to Maui, we might not see any of them yet--and I so wanted to! Not to worry, our guide and the great crew of helpful and kind young folks made sure we got what we came for; we caught a young one practicing its tail flaps and then saw it come up and turn for us just out of the port! And we kept seeing them doing what they do so beautifully! I think the captain of the ship, the tour guide, was just perfect. He had a great sense of humor and gave us a lot of facts about these creatures. He told us to just take a breath and let it out, that the whales would do what it was they wanted and he would do his best to manuever us where we needed to be to see the best show. He gave us more than our money's worth! I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see those beautiful humpback whales!
We had three choices for times for this tour and I booked the 7:30am thinking we could get it in and have the rest of the day but when we showed up at 7:10 as asked we were told that since it's the end of the season and they didn't have a lot of response for the early time they had cancelled and we could try to get in the 9:30 am or 12:30 noon tour. Needless to say, it might have been a good idea to get hold of me and let us know so we weren't sitting around for several hours. Once we got on the boat I thought it would be great it we could see something but realizing it was the end of the season didn't expect much. As we approached another whaling boat, the skipper put it in idle and within two minutes about 100 yards away an adult whale came about 80% out of the water and breeched just like the picture with this review(except better). Amazing!! There were four or five groups of whales including one baby who was jumping all the time. Fantastic tour!!! Highly recommended!
