The Four Winds II had the most competant crew of any that I experienced on a snorkeling tour. Safety was of upmost importance and even had a crew member in the water with a float helping snorkelers in need. When the waters near the Molokini crater got too rough, the crew asked snorkelers to return to the boat and calmer waters were found. A continental breakfast was offered on the boat as well as a barbecue lunch of pork and chicken sandwiches. I would highly recommend this tour.
Captain John and his crew made this trip awesome!!The snorkeling was fantastic, the lunch was out of this world for being on a boat. The pull pork bun and the chickenon a bun were very good. The booze was very much appreciated on a nice hot day. They offer you underwater camera to rent and put all your pictures on a cd.Camera is 40.00 and cd is 100.00 unlimited pictures. We had 2 underwater camera's from walmart for 15.00 can.Pick whatever works for you. They have a photographer on board also taking pictures.
The reefs we went to were so colorful and full of fish! If one place was too choppy because of the water, they had 2 other places they can go to, so no matter what, you will see wildlife! Food was pulled pork or BBQ chicken with an open bar! What more can one ask for?!
Food was great as was the staff. Surprised at the number of children aboard, but they had lots of activities for them. Pulled pork was excellency.
This tour was highly enjoyed by my boyfriend and I. The boat ride was smooth, the staff was friendly, the breakfast and lunch were filling and organized and the sites were awesome. I was worried that there wasn't going to be enough food or the lines would be crazy but it was very organized!
The snorkeling trip was very nice. The weather almost perfect. The water is so clear and the coral just beautiful. Would like to have seen more sea creatures but there were many good colorful fish. Would highly recommend. The crew of this vessel was exceptional.
So much fun! We saw all types of tropical fish and green sea turtles. The crew was great. The food and open bar was a huge plus too. I highly recommend this trip.
A MUST adventure when you come to Maui. Capt John and the crew do an outstanding job.....the boat is great...the food is wonderful.....the snorkeling is as good as it gets.....fun for young and old.
It was too windy (40 mph winds) to go to Molokini, so they took us along the Maui coast to Coral Gardens instead. The name says it all. It was a beautiful garden of colorful mounds of coral and plentiful fish. We had snorkeled at Hanauma Bay earlier in the week, and this was far better! While we were disappointed that we didn't get to Molokini, I can't imagine that the snorkeling could have been any better. The crew was fabulous! Kudos to them all!
Trip was more than expected. Captain John and the Four Winds crew were great and very professional. The trip included extensive whale watching which was not mentioned. Excellent bonus to the great sailing and snorkeling.
We sailed on New Year's Day. We had absolutely fantastic time. The staff was great, they made our experience one we won't forget. We saw several whale sightings on our way, which is something we really enjoyed. On our arrival to Molikini, we were outfitted with optical snorkel masks, (our choice) which made viewing a pleasure, we're both near sighted. Have been on snorkel tours in the Caribbean and that was never an option, so this was fantastic. Had a great meal. Enjoyed the captains commentary! He even found turtles for us on the way back! I would highly recommend this excursion!
