The Tour was great! Met some really nice People and also Matt our Guide was really nice! Had a lot of fun at this Trip :) i would defenitively do it again!! Saw so many different beautiful faces of Australia in three days and Matt has a really good knowledge! Thank You all for that Great Trip :)
Definitely worth it. Met a great group of people which added to the experience. Lots of stopping at scenic sites to break up the driving.
What an amazing three days with Bunyip Tours! Our small group became very tight-knit and our guide, Matt, was FANTASTIC. I had done a few larger tours in Melbourne alone with other tour companies (e.g. kayak tour of Melbourne, chocolate tour, Yarra Valley Wine Tour, Phillip Island, etc.) and had an okay experience; however, it was very difficult to make friends on the day tours I went on and very little individual attention was given to me and my fellow travelers by our guides on those trips. The Great Ocean Road Bunyip Tour was the last tour I did in Melbourne before heading to Sydney and I feared that once again it would be a very isolating experience. I was so wrong! I sat in the front seat with our guide (and new friend) Matt and learned that he had studied ecology in university and worked for many years as a park ranger. I study environmental studies at an American college and was excited to learn everything from an expert. Not only did Matt make the tour enjoyable with his humor and kindness, but also a wonderful learning experience. Matt carried mammal and bird guides for his passengers to read up on Aussie wildlife. He also shared information on Australian politics, history, and culture. I had spent a semester on an exchange program with James Cook University in Cairns, and feel like I learned more about Australia in those three days than my semester at uni! Additionally, Matt gave personalized attention to every passenger on the trip. I was impressed that he memorized everyone's name so quickly, and got along so well with everyone!
Regarding the trip itself, the Great Ocean Road and the Grampians are BEAUTIFUL! We also saw koalas, emus, kangaroos, and other animals in the wild. The hostels we stayed at the Great Ocean Road and the Grampians were fantastic. They were in great locations and were super clean! I actually couldn't believe they were hostels, because of how nice the facilities were. What a wonderful trip! Highly recommend doing it!
Our tour guide, Matthew, was sensational! Great country, great scenery, great people, great experience!
Fantastic! Not a lot of people on our shuttle bus...five of us. Apparently this three day tour is way better than the one day tour. It was great, we stopped everywhere.
Simon our guide was excellent. He had a great personality and knew so much about the local history. He was a pleasure to listen too, and travel with. He had great stories to share about the places we visited. I had a very special experience on this little tour. The people were a great mix from around the world, all a pleasure to spend 3 days with. I hope to stay in contact with them, and perhaps see them again in another country. this was a great way to spend my last days in Austrailia.
It is really nice tour and the group and the guide was very nice.
Really recommend it .
Fantastic experience. Would recommend to all ages. We thought we would be the youngsters but ended up being the oldies as the trip was mostly backpackers. Everything was provided. Food and accommodation was great. Matt the tour guide was great too. A must do trip. Taff / Debs, New Zealand.
A brillant trip. Had a fantastic tour guide called Matt who was really enthusiastic and made the experience really worth while. The views are incredible and I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the group I was with.
First of all, a great tour guide, driver and cook - Matt from Bunyip Tour, a very informative, knowledgeable, cheerful, funny and nice guy. You can't get a better tour guide other than Matt :)
Spectacular view along the great ocean road, a must go destination in Australia.
Grampians is another highlight of Australian natural scene, very interesting tour for people who love the nature, good amount of trekking, but it is worthwhile.
Overall, a very good experience and definitely worth the money and energy.
Excellent tour! probably the best way to explore the Great Ocean Road and the Grampians! Highly recommended!
Probably the best thing I did in Melbourne! Firstly the tour guide was great, knew his stuff. The bus was comfortable, the regular stops for food / bathrooms well timed and the little out of the way places many tours miss were included.Secondly, the views were unbelievable! Absolutely breathtaking scenery, great photo opportunities! Lastly, we might have just been lucky but by the end of the tour we had all become quite good friends and I hope at least some of us will stay in touch.
Highly, highly recommended!
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent tour of the Great Ocean Road and the Grampians. Our guide, Steve, was incredibly knowledgeable and personable. Our tour group was truly international and meshed perfectly. We would not hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone.
I had a great time and saw heaps, the bus was OK but not overly comfortable. This part of the country is very beautiful; glad I was not driving I would have missed lots of great places. Good value but not luxury. An added bonus, which I had not thought about before our travel, was meeting lots of people from all around the world. My friend and I were the only Australians on a full bus.
I really enjoyed this tour which gave me the opportunity to discover wonderful places ans sceneries in good conditions. Thanks to our guide Robert who was professional, pleasant, interesting, and made his best to please us.Don't miss the Great Ocean Road !
great trip, with a great tour guide, Matt. Thanks for the great birthday cake!!
The tour guide Matt was absolutely fantastic as was the bus and we loved having the chilly bin with drinks etc freely available. However, we do think that you should reconsider the accommodation at the Asses Ears Wilderness Retreat. We are aware that this was a bit of a budget tour but toilet doors that don't close, showers that don't work and being told that the bugs wont come in if we switch off the lights was a little bit too basic and in our book totally unnecessary. The owner needs to do bit of basic maintenance in our opinion and we thought you should know. Otherwise a wonderful trip and plenty to see and do.
