I think that there is nothing better than meeting new people on these tours. I was traveing with my nephew and because of our tour we were able to make a few friends who later ended up hanging out with us when we got back to the city. The tour was great, they take you to see some cool stuff before the actual pyramids. I will have to say that the only thing I disliked was that they take you to a few tourist traps. One was a jewlry/souvenier shop and the other was a rock sculpture souvenier shop. But you are in know way forced to buy anything, I didn't yet I still had 4 free shots of Twquila and Mezcal. Once you do get to the pyramids you will be amazed!!! This was a great tour, the guides were excellent. If you are in Mexico City this tour is a must!
The tour guide, Francisco, was just phenomenal. He was very knowledgable of the sites, and spoke english excellent.
Frank, our tour guide was friendly, accommodating, and extremely knowledgeable. He brought this ancient sight to life with his passion for the history and the people of Teotihuacan. He did the same at the Shrine of Guadalupe. The silver store where we stopped had beautifully hand-crafted jewelry and no-pressure salespeople. We also stopped at a shop that offered ceramics, jewelry, clothing, sculpture and a variety of cactus-alcohol - educational and fun. All-in-all we had an amazing day and would recommend this tour for those wanting to know as much as possible about these ancient and sacred sites.
Awesome tour. Great tour guide and I got lucky and had a great group of people as well. Very memorable day.
Incredible tour , and the guide Frank has a great knowledge about the history.
We had a fantastic day trip on this tour. It was really enjoyable and very informative. It was a lot more than we were expecting. Thanks for the experience.
This was my second time to use Viator to take a tour with my first one being in Spain. I arrived in Mexico City on a 5 am flight and hopped on this tour that started at 9 am. There was a mixup with which hotel to pick me up but they sent a separate car to pick me up at the correct hotel and then I joined the group. In addition to seeing the Pyramids you also see an area of Aztec ruins in downtown Mexico City, The Virgin of Guadalupe and local crafts, meet Aztec doggies and a do a tequila tasting and then enjoy a delicious meal afterwards. I highly recommend it. Our guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining the sites and history involved.
An excellent trip. We got so much more than I'd expected. Not only the Teotihuacan Pyramids and the Shrine but also a visit to the 3-cultures site, a silver-smiths, as well as visit to see some rare Mexican dogs, learn a little bit about Agave, taste Tequilla's and see some beautiful sculptures. Our guide was informative, friendly and approachable, all-in-all a day that exceeded my expectations. Great value for money!
This tour was amazing! There were seven other travelers, 2 from Australia, 3 from Mexico (Cabo San Lucas) and 2 from New York City. The tour operators, Mildred and Martin were very friendly and very knowledgeable. I was picked up at the JW Marriott in Polanco right on time. On our way to pick up the other tourists, we stopped to take pictures of various things, such as the Angel of Independence Shrine. Our first "real" stop at Tlatelolco and the St. James Church included an unexpected addition to our tour, an EARTHQUAKE! Fortunately for us, the 7.2 quake was centered 170 miles southwest of us. People streamed out of buildings and things were swaying, which made it a touch scary for a moment but things went back to normal as people realized there was no immediate damage and we continued on our way. We stopped for a 15 minute discussion from Mildred and then we continued on to Teotihuacan. It took about an hour to get to the pyramid complex. First, we stopped at a market. I liked the stop, which included tequila tasting although the vendors are very pushy. After about 45 minutes or so at this marketplace, we finally got to the the Teotihuacan site. It of course was amazing. There were long lines but it was worth it. Again, Mildred filled us in on all sorts of information about the site. We stayed for a few hours, then we left for the included lunch, which was at a restaurant right outside the compound. The lunch was excellent. It was buffet-style and the food was outstanding. You are responsible for drinks, however but they are reasonably priced. Finally, after a thunderstorm, Martin navigated some back streets and got us to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The complex once again was amazing. It rained again but it was refreshing. It was nice to visit on Good Friday! I cannot recommend this tour enough. Martin and Mildred are as friendly as anyone I have ever met and the price is right; you should GO!
Our tour guide was nice and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend taking this tour if your visiting Mexico City.
Frank was excellent!! The President of France was in town touring the pyramids and the park was closed to the public. We were a little worried that we would not be able to climb them. Frank had a backup plan for any situation. He gave us a tour of the museum as we waited for the president to leave. We also toured an archeological site in the city, which we didn't expect. Frank was so informative and this was our favorite part of the tour. We learned so much! I highly recommend this tour and Frank is awesome!
This was one of my husbands dream places to go and Frank was a great guide! Frank gave us a lot of information and made the trip enjoyable, he made sure we had a break and water and we even stopped and ate lunch. He was very personal and would recommend him for all tours. Thank you Frank!
This is great tour for the price. The tour guide and driver from Olympus Tour were very good.
This tour was excellent in every way, thanks, mostly to a wonderful tour guide, Francisco. He has a passion for his work which translates into so much knowledge, insight and explanantions which go far beyond an ordinary experience. I truly felt like I had gone back in time to the ancient Mayan and Aztec cultures with his insightful comments. The itinerary is wonderful and we explored much more than is listed, including a silverssmith demo and shop, and a semi-precious jewel shop, both of which give opportunities to understand the wonderful things that this part of Mexico has to offer. Don't miss this trip!!
