We enjoyed this 2000+ year-old pyramid tour very much in the company of an excellent and knowledgeable guide (Franco). The tour (6 people in a comfortable van) began with a trip to the Square of the Three Cultures where we saw the Aztec pyramids, the Spanish church, and the new Mexican buildings. We then visited the Shrine of Guadalupe and spent some time in both the old and new basilicas. Then we went for a 45-minute trip to the Teotihuacan pyramids (on the way we had lunch at a buffet place) where our guide explained the history of the Moon and the Sun pyramids, and then we were given a couple of hours of free time to hang around the archeological site and climb up the pyramids.
something you can only in Mexico City.
I could not imagine I would see real things i only see in comics magazine
Me and my wife really enjoyed the trip.

Excellent! The tour was everything I had hoped for, and our guide was helpful, friendly, and very knowledgeable in the sites we visited.
Traffic in Mexico City was horrid (expected), so we were delayed in starting our trip. The food at the restaurant was very good. Would highly recommend this experience for all visitors to Mexico.
This was beautiful. Our tour guide was Frank and we had him for a different tour as well and he was very good with both. I was traveling with my parents and it was just the three of us through out this tour, so it was nice and private. First they they take you to a little compound where they show you how they harvest the maguey plant. You get to taste pulque, mezcal, tequila and other spirits made with it. Then they walk you through their sculpting and stone shop. Giving you an example of how to tell authenticity of different precious stones and showing you what to look out for in good stone craft. Of course they show you into their shop right after. But you don't have to buy anything. Frank and the guy at this compound are very very friendly and nice. After this you drive up to the pyramids. Bring a hat and some sun screen. This was amazing. I regret not walking all the way up to the top of the pyramid of the sun and to the pyramid of the moon. It's not for old unfit people who are heat sensitive - which both my parents are but they loved it. I mean, Loved it. Then lunch. Its a short drive to a buffet lunch. Food was okay. Got to try the cactus salad and a few other stews. After, it's a drive to Guadalupe. As a non practicing catholic I enjoyed the architecture if the basilica and it's amazing design. My parents who are deeply catholic we're amazed by it all. And collectively it is amazing seeing the image so well preserved on Juan Diego's cloak. It was a great day.
The tour was extremely informative and Franc was an awesome guide. Highly recommend doing this tour as it will give you an understanding of the rich history.
The tour was amazing! Mostly is because the places are amazing. Tour guide was very knowledgable and helpful. But we spent too much time in some of your partnered-shops (ie silver factory, and it's way too expensive). I enjoyed the tour very much.
As always, Viator never fails to give its customers a top-notch tour at a very reasonable price. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We were given ample time to explore each of the sites we visited on our way to the pyramids and on our way back to Mexico City.
Tks 2 francisco the tour guide ...he was just excellent .... 5 stars
This was a great tour and the guide, Luis Suarez ;), was very knowledgeable.
Our tour guide was friendly, knowledgable and gracious. It was a very enjoyable and informative excursion. Thank you, Tony "Jose".
I think that there is nothing better than meeting new people on these tours. I was traveing with my nephew and because of our tour we were able to make a few friends who later ended up hanging out with us when we got back to the city. The tour was great, they take you to see some cool stuff before the actual pyramids. I will have to say that the only thing I disliked was that they take you to a few tourist traps. One was a jewlry/souvenier shop and the other was a rock sculpture souvenier shop. But you are in know way forced to buy anything, I didn't yet I still had 4 free shots of Twquila and Mezcal. Once you do get to the pyramids you will be amazed!!! This was a great tour, the guides were excellent. If you are in Mexico City this tour is a must!
The tour guide, Francisco, was just phenomenal. He was very knowledgable of the sites, and spoke english excellent.
Frank, our tour guide was friendly, accommodating, and extremely knowledgeable. He brought this ancient sight to life with his passion for the history and the people of Teotihuacan. He did the same at the Shrine of Guadalupe. The silver store where we stopped had beautifully hand-crafted jewelry and no-pressure salespeople. We also stopped at a shop that offered ceramics, jewelry, clothing, sculpture and a variety of cactus-alcohol - educational and fun. All-in-all we had an amazing day and would recommend this tour for those wanting to know as much as possible about these ancient and sacred sites.
