Why Our Insiders Chose This Tour
This tour allows you to see firsthand how one of the world's leading beers is produced. With an English-speaking guide included on the tour, this Viator Exclusive is something you won't want to miss out on while in Mexico City!
What You Can Expect
During the tour of the grounds, your English-speaking guide translates as a Grupo Modelo employee rattles off production and historical facts in Spanish. If you aren’t fluent, our exclusive trip to the brewery is the one to take – all other tours are conducted in Spanish.
Along the way, inhale a malty aroma wafting from special mills that grind barley, look up at stainless steel vats of boiling brews and gape at the finished product in the bottling area. As you learn more about the intricate production process, it might come as a surprise to learn the factory had already produced 8 million bottles of Corona and Modelo by 1928, only three years after opening. Today, Grupo Modelo makes a total of 14 brands that include Victoria and Pacifico.
All that walking might make you thirsty. Luckily, a tasting is included! Sip on freshly brewed lagers and pilsners, among other drinks. Other beverages and food can be purchased at your own expense.
If you’re in high spirits after your samples, head to the gift store to purchase some of the cherished cerveza. It's the perfect way to commemorate this tour only available to Viator customers. From there, you will be transported back to your Mexico City hotel. Don’t forget to buy some limes before you head to the pool or beach!
