Chichen Itza: Light and Sound

Visit the most important archaeological zone of the Mayan World, the ancient capital of the Mayan Empire. Witness the remnants of this once powerful Mayan people – view the Sacred Cenote, where sacrifices took place, see the Ball Court, where Mayan games of strength and skill were held, the Castle and Pyramid of Kukulkan.

After dark, view a projected light shadow over the architectonic elements of the building Witness a serpent descending to the ground (equinox show), Mayan warriors playing the ball game and the sounds of life and death. Schedule Details Departs: Wednesday Departure Point: Tour departs from most Cancun or Playa del Carmen hotels Departure Time: Hotel pick up is from 9:00am - 9:45am (exact pick-up time will be provided at time of reconfirmation) Hotel Pickup: You MUST call the tour operator at least 24 hours prior to tour commencement to reconfirm all tour and departure details. If the tour operator does not pickup from your hotel, they will advise you of the meeting point when you call. The contact details will be listed on your voucher. Itinerary:

• Pick up all the passengers from 9:00am to 9:45am at the lobby of all major hotels or alternate meeting point
• Depart at 10:15am
• 20 minute stop for services in a Mayan Village
• Arrive at Mayaland Hotel approximately 2:00pm
• A delicious buffet lunch is served with typical Yucatan dishes as well as poultry, hamburgers and salad bar while watching regional folkloric dancers
• Now you are ready to get into the archaeological site by the private entrance of Mayaland Hotel
• Enter the archaeological site by the private gate of Mayaland
• Groups are divided into English and Spanish speaking tours
• 1.5 hour guilded tour of Chichen Itza
• Free time provided to walk around, explore the Quetzal sound or take some pictures as well as use all Mayaland facilities, such as swimming pool, lounge chairs, sun beds, and towels
• Light and Sound show begins at 8:00pm in spring and summer and 7:00pm in autumn and winter
