Chichen Itza: On Your Own

Visit the most important archaeological zone of the Mayan World, the ancient capital of the Mayan Empire. There you can admire the majestic Observatory, The Sacred Cenote where sacrifices took place, The Ball Court, the Castle, the Pyramide of Kukulkan and all the remains that this extinguished culture left for us to witness that they once existed.

Come and observe the extraordinary and highly decorated ceremonial architecture of its buildings, all built without metal tools. This mystical site has been declared a Human Heritage site and recently designated as one of the Modern Wonders of the World due to its extraordinary architectural beauty and its geographical location.

Your day at Chichen Itza is without a guide so you are free to explore the famous site at your own pace.

 

Schedule Details Departs: Daily Departure Point: Tour departs from most Cancun or Playa del Carmen hotels Departure Time: Hotel pick up is from 7:00am - 7:45am (exact pick-up time will be provided at time of reconfirmation) Return details: Tour returns to original point of departure Hotel Pickup: You MUST call the tour operator at least 24 hours prior to tour commencement to reconfirm all tour and departure details. If the tour operator does not pickup from your hotel, they will advise you of the meeting point when you call. The contact details will be listed on your voucher. Itinerary:

• Pick up all the passengers from 7:00am to 7:45am at the lobby of all major hotels or alternate meeting location
• Check in and departure to Chichen Itza at 8:15am
• 20 minute stop for services in a Mayan Village
• Arrive at Mayaland Hotel approximately noon
• Visit the archaeological site on your own
• Meet in lobby of Mayaland Hotel at 4:00pm
• Departure at 4:10pm
• Arrive in Cancun approximately 7:00pm
