Swim with the seals at the Miami Seaquarium, a 38-acre, world-class marine-life entertainment park with eight different marine animal shows, daily presentations and a variety of educational programs. One of those programs is called Seal Swim, a unique deep and shallow water interaction with harbor seals.
The Seal Swim begins with a change of clothes into a provided wetsuit. Just bring a bathing suit. A private locker and towel will be provided for changing. Then enjoy an entertaining and educational safety talk with one of the seal trainers. After learning a bit about the seals and how the program works, hop in the water for a 15- to 20-minute swim. During the interactive session, swim freely alongside the seals and get an introduction to a special seal friend to receive hugs, kisses and take part in a fun training session.
As part of the Seal Swim program, be sure to enjoy a full day of all the shows and exhibits at Miami Seaquarium. Some of the shows include Top Deck Dolphin, featuring the high-flying antics of bottlenose dolphins as they perform breathtaking leaps and rolls. At Golden Dome Sea Lion, enjoy the comical adventures of Salty the Sea Lion and his Reef Rangers. There’s also the Caribbean-themed Flipper Dolphin Show and a combined Killer Whale and Dolphin performance. Some of the exhibits feature sharks, manatees, seals, sea lions, crocodiles, tropical fish, stingrays and more.
