I'm giving this trip 3 stars for two reasons. 1)I didn't like that there were like 40 people on this trip after going on two smaller tours with only 12 people each. 2)After walking the Love Path to Riomaggiore, we literally only had about 30mins to get through the tunnel and walk around Riomaggiore before having to get back through the tunnel to meet for our train departure. I felt extremely rushed during this time. It was still a great tour with the exception of these two points and you get to see and experience so much (you will be tired and ready to sleep on the way back). Also, skip where the tour guide suggests for lunch in Monterosso and go to the pink restaurant by the water called Ristorante Il Casello. Have the trofie al pesto dish and the best meal of your life...trust me!

This was my first experience in a guided tour like this. I think this is a bit too long tour for one day, it was planned a 12 hour tour but due to traffick accident it ended after 14 hours ! Another thing that I should have noticed myself was the sailing .....I myself do not like to sail, due to seasickness and this sailing was particularly bad at that day and I didn´t realize that it took so long ;-( so that ruined part of the trip for me. But with all that said I will say that this is a beautiful and breathtaking part of Italy and I am glad I took this trip ;-)
I just have to read better all details reg. trips like this before I book ;-)
So thank you.

The highlight was the boat trip from Porto Venere to Monterosso which provided great views of all the villages. Unfortunatly rainy weather during the rest of the day limited shoreside exploration.

I am glad I saw the Cinque Terre, however not enough to go back. Our guide was fine but I would have liked her to give a little detail about the different areas of Milan as we were driving into and out of the city. I felt her enthusiasium wasa little low. In fairness to her it was extremely hot out.

The guide barely said a word the entire bus trip - only speaking up to tell us that the boat trip from Portovenere to Monterosso would be cancelled. The bus broke down breifly and most of the day was spent on trains or waiting for them. We had exactly ten minutes to "explore" Riomaggiore. It was a five minute walk from the train station and five minutes back so just enough time for a glimpse of the town before running back. That being said the coast itself is amazing and we are so glad we got to see it. If we go back we will go to Cinque Terre ourselves and stay in Monterosso.

The trip is beautiful. The tour guide walks so fast that he's very hard to keep up with and on the way home he was very stingy with a restroom break. We were rushed and no time was allocated to get a snack or drink.
