Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Evening Rooftop Tour of Milan's Duomo. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
Our guide had many interesting facts and mini stories. We got to see the duomo both at daylight and sunset. The rooftop view is breath-taking and we got to see close ups of the intricate details of the duomo's architecture.
Amazing tour, the weather was cold
The guide was so friendly with lots of knowledge
The group was small (4 persons)
We had a very nice tour
I enjoyed every second of this tour!!! It was only 3 of us, the tour guide was very informative and passionate about the city and the history, and I have learned so much about the cathedral, the architect design, and the 6 century work of building it. The view from the roof top is magnificent!
I missed the tour on Oct 9 because the time was changed. Viator's customer service was not helpful, and was unable to resolve the issue. So I showed up at the same meeting place on Oct 11 on the chance that that tour was not filled. It wasn't, and Ms. Donatello allowed me to join at that time. She was a great tour guide, and saved Viator from a very unhappy customer. She deserves some recognition for handling an awkward situation well, and presenting a great image of Viator. Thank you to Ms. Donatello.
We took both the church and the rooftop tours. We enjoyed every second of this tour!!! We learned so much about the church and stain glass window construction. She explained very well the how stain glass windows were made during the olden times and taught us the differences between that and the new ones restored. Because of this tour, every time we entered the churches we next visited, we easily identified what stain glass is original and what is restored! The roof top visit is not to be missed!
Wonderful tour. Wonderful guide and wonderful price! Would recommend highly.
View the Duomo as you have never seen it before! The tour takes you to the top of the cathedral by elevator followed by a few further steps. Not too many steps in case you're wondering but there is nowhere to sit down at the top (not worth sitting down anyway) so make sure you are not too tired when you plan this visit.
Our guide was a milanese lady who was very bubbly and humorous. Her explanations were simple but precise and all the salient features were mentioned including what is happening at the Duomo in the present day.
Also not to miss are the breath taking views of Milan from such a high place. Not to miss!
Great tour and the tour guide was so informative. She knew her stuff!
