A great way to enjoy Italian wine, also meet some great people at the tasting, great way to end the day of walking
I loved it, the atmosphere was quaint and comfortable. The information on the different wines was very informative. I would definitely do it again.
Good distance from our hotel, but easy access to subway transportation. Good directions are key to finding this spot (and extra time). Cool neighbourhood with lots of history. Good wine (great portions!) Food pairings were excellent and nearly constituted a meal (so don't eat right before you go). We purchased the unlimited subway ticket so we just continued our Milan sight-seeing after the tour. We did learn a lot about Italian wines in our wine tasting class, but not about the wines of the Lombardy region as the sommelier choose 3 wines from other regions.
Excellent experience, made even more enjoyable by the knowledgable and passionate host. A must for all wine enthusiasts. Bravo federico.
Fantastico! An extremely enjoyable, interesting and fun experience. Great value for money with 3 wines to sample and great accompanying food with each bottle. The staff could not be more attentive and even managed to help celebrate one of our partie's 50th birthday. Brilliant service at the Take Away, Millano! Great company from Vienna too with Yvonne and Horst!
Very enjoyable. Our hosts were very knowledgable about the wines.
We likes the boss who is so generous offering glasses of wine and supply of ham and bread for us
The shop owner and staff were unbelievably knowledgeable about the wine and the pairings that went along with it. The shop is a local gem and the staff were filled with that good ole friendly Italian culture. A few of us stayed after the wine tasting and with a purchased bottle of wine, we were served even more delectable food parings free of charge. I met people from Germany, the Philippines and Australia. I definitely recommend it! One remark: it's a little hard to find...it's directly behind the subway stop towards the back corner of the street.
Wonderfully knowledgeable sommelier...and we had him all to ourselves!!!!
More than just a wine tasting! We were poured 3 large glasses and consumed them with a delicious variety of local meats and cheeses, we were not rushed and offered several further glasses on the house as they had a promotion evening for a cork grower following our tasting. We took up the offer of one further glass and then staggered to an excellent restaurant nearby that the sommelier recommended. Great!
I really relaxed and enjoyed this wine tasting. It was great to try wines from different parts of Italy and compare. The food served with the wine was light and perfect.
This was a great experience, but I would not say it was because of the people in charge of the tasting. The man giving the tasting took a call and never came back, which led his assistant (who did not speak any other language) to finish the tasting. It sounded like they were reading descriptions from the bottle, which anyone could have done. The wine and food was amazing though, so it really made up for the presentation.
Very nice evening. The patrons were gracious and the wine superb.
The host was very informative about Italian wine, especially the Spumante (sparkling wine); all the way from the grape to the glass. In addition to an interesting event, the bar "That's Wine" has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Fantastic night, there were 6 of us in our group and we were the only ones on the wine tasting. Marco was fantastic, extremely good knowledge about all the wines, had a good sense of humour and recommend a lovely restaurant for afterwards...............even made the reservation and ordered the taxis. We all thoroughly enjoyed it, didn't know what to expect but so glad we did it and would definately recommend it.
Wine selections were really nice and we were served various meats, cheese and bread with each wine. Quirky little venue just hidden away, not easy to find.
