Initial tour was cancelled beacause of lack of numbers. After much pleading with tour operator, it was agreed I should join an extended tour, for La Scala only. Tour was excellent, guide both informative and friendly.
Enjoyable tour with great guide. Had a sneep peak inside the theatre and a very interesting tour of the museum.
It was such a great experience to be in La Scala and learn its fascinating history. Thanks for making it so easy!
enjoyed the tour plenty time to see everything ,an enjoyable experience.
Interesting to see inside of this major theatre and learn its history. I felt it contained a little too much filler to make up the allotted time.
The tour was uninformative, no excess to any places that people that bought a ticket at the door for $5.00.
Waste of money.
I expected a tour of the inside of the Opera House including the auditorium, public spaces and backstage areas. Instead, the first twenty minutes were spent in the paizza getting harangued with the history of Italy before setting foot inside the House itself. The rest of the time was spent being told in meticulous detail the history of every exhibit in the Opera Museum. Anyone choosing a tour of an Opera House would surely be expected to have some interest and knowledge of music. However, the guide talked down to us, assuming we knew absolutely nothing about the subject, making statements such as “there was a composer called Amadeus Mozart. He composed operas”. She also gave out false information such as 2012 being the 200th anniversary of Don Giovanni. After a while my wife and I could stand it no longer and went off on our own. Also, for no good reason, the Opera House management don't allow photos inside! Why? In summary, this tour is a didaster. Don’t take it.
