Nature enthusiasts and those pressured for time will revel over a full day exploring Lake Como and Italy’s Lake District. Spanning 146 square kilometers and 400 meters at its deepest, Lake Como is the third largest lake in Italy, after Lake Garda and Lake Verbano.

A short coach ride from Milan will see you emerge in the town of Como, surrounded by mountains. Stretch your legs here and explore your quaint surrounds. There’s time for lunch and browsing the local stores.

Afterwards, we’ll take a two hour panoramic cruise up Lake Como’s Y shaped waters to the enchanting village of Bellagio. Escape the crowds down steep streets and marvel at boutiques and cafes housed in earthy toned historic buildings.

Admire lakeside villas, sprawling in their grandeur and keep an especial eye out for Villa d'Este at Cernobbio, a luxurious hotel complete with tropical gardens. The mild Mediterranean climate common in these parts ensures that an abundance of exotic and rare plants thrive year round.

Before returning to Milan by coach, enjoy an afternoon break at La Tessitura. This is a concept store designed by Mantero Seta, featuring a tribute to silk production.
