This was an amazing tour we loved every minute of it except the bumpy ride to Bob Marleys house
Would definetly do it again the driver activities and jerk chicken was the best I ever had
it was Lovely...very nice tour indeed...nine miles was nice because the guide were funny and tell things in a very good way
The falls was so much fun and not quite as challenging as it looks. The Bob Marley 9-Mile was an interesting experience in more ways than one. The driver and tour guide were not the best. The tour guide was limited as far as speaking clear English. She did not narrate at all during the duration of the close to 2 hour bus trek. The driver and tour guide appeared to be at some kind of odds at certain points of the trip. The ride to Bob Marley's 9-mile was very tedious in the mountains on what appeared to be a single lane road...rocky/dirt at times with our big tour bus. Several times the few cars in sight had to stop or ride on the very edge because of our bus. A van even had to back up to let us through. I am not sure if this was a real road...the driver seemed suspect throughout. However, once we arrived at the Falls and Nine Mile the excursions were well worth it. The transportation aspect (driver and tour guide on the bus), were the only negatives. I would definitely recommend using "Vacation Express" for scheduling excursions and NOT "Holiday Services" We had both and it was definitely a difference.
One of the highlights of my trip. Bernard was an amazing guide and truly fun to hang out with. Didn't realize that we would be stopping for Shopping, Columbus Park and be having dinner before the luminous lagoon, which was a great surprise. Good times!
There was a spiritual presence at Bob Marley's Nine Mile. It was inspirational and well worth the hike to get there! Lunch was tasty authentic Jamaican food, but it wasn't enough. We were pushed for time at Dunn's River, but it was fun. Take your camera! Warm water in the lagoon! Horace=great driver!
The tour was amazing! We had the best tour guide/driver Jamaica has to offer. Make sure to book with Sydney. He was insightful, funny, and most importantly, a world class driver. Alone, the latter description was noteworthy considering the winding, single lane roads Jamaica has to offer, especially when transporting up to Nine Mile. The tour was long but worth every second. I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting an adventure! Make sure to bring a bathing suit.
We loved the ride! We are very happy because we are with a friend drove the car only two, turned almost private excursion. The guided tour was very well organized, we had a great tour guide, driver, everything was wonderful!
My friend and I were the only one's on this trip. It was nice to have more of a personal tour and be able to skip the shopping in Ocho Rios. Great tour, definitely worth the money.
This is an fantastic tour for anyone who wants to see a bit of 'real' Jamaica during their stay. Obviously the river falls and the Bob Marley museum is set up for tourists, but the most amazing thing is the drive through the parishes and the hills from the river falls to Nine Mile. The scenery is amazing!
The Falls are beautiful and great fun to climb - don't buy water shoes before you go as they are expensive and you'll never use them again. You can just hire them at the falls for about $7 a pair. Be careful when you come out the falls as the guides are extremely pushy for tips - you won't have cash on you because you get soaked on the trip - they offer to follow you back to your bus, which is a little intimidating. Also be careful on the way through the shops back to the car park - they will try and sell you anything before you have a chance to say no and then follow you to the bus for money. We got sucked in to the tune of $20! However, the falls are brilliant and not to be missed!
Nine Mile is amazing and an absolute MUST for all reggae fans. The guides at the museum are fab, really informative and lots of fun!
The best thing about the whole trip was our guide/driver - Sidney! He's a lot of fun, again really informative and great company for the drive. Our only regret was that in being sucked in to one of the shops at the falls we weren't able to tip Sidney more than we - trust us, you'll want to give him a good tip - he's a legend!
