What You Can Expect
Meet your guide in either Downtown Montreal or Old Montreal. Your pickup time depends on whether you’ve selected the full-day or half-day wine experience. Check the ‘Important Info’ tab for further details. You’ll then board your minibus for the one-hour trip to your first vineyard, enjoying the fantastic views of the countryside outside the city and listening to details about Quebec’s winemaking industry from your guide.
Your itinerary from here depends on whether you’ve selected the full-day or half-day excursion. Those on the full-day trip will stop at three different vineyards for tastings and tours, stopping to enjoy a gourmet boxed lunch, while those on the half-day trip will stop at two vineyards. For a more detailed description of each trip’s activities (and for the full-day lunch menu), review the Itinerary section below.
Head first to the first winery, located on a hillside with an amazing view. Explore the vineyard on a guided walk before touring the winemaking installations and laboratory and taking a lesson on wine tasting basics followed by a blind tasting experience with the winery owner.
Head to your second wine estate, and sit on a beautiful terrace for a gourmet boxed lunch (see below for a sample menu) and a glass of white wine. Then enjoy a full tasting of Val Caudalies’ wines and ciders, followed by some leisure time to relax. A short drive will then take you to your last estate, where you will learn about winemaking techniques and have another full wine tasting.
Sample Lunch Menu (full-day tour only)
Fresh vegetables and dip
Individual maple syrup pie (the best in Quebec!)
Glass of Vidal white wine
Sample Half-day Afternoon Tour:
Head to your first winery, located on gorgeous Rougemont hillside, where you’ll be welcomed by the vineyard owners and taken on a guided tour of the estate and the wine cellar. Learn about the culture of vines in Quebec’s challenging climate, then enjoy a full tasting of exclusive wines and ciders paired with a local cheese tasting.
Enjoy the drive to your second stop, a small family owned winery located on the side of Mont-St-Hilaire with breathtaking views. The vineyard owner will welcome you and tell you about the estate and its history and take you on a visit of the winemaking facilities and hear about their special techniques. Then savor a full tasting hosted by the winemaker, who will teach tasting techniques.

We did the whole day tour. Went to 3 wineries. Great experience tasting and learning. Lunch was fantastic. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, personal, and courteous. Highly recommended.
Great Tour! It would have been nice to have a handout showing the wineries visited and the wines tasted.
Outstanding guide, Gail! Fantastic way to see Canadian countryside.
Our tour was wonderful! It was a great way to start off our long weekend in Montreal! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the wineries were great!
Fun half day tour of two wineries. Very informative and interesting, well organized. Nice comparison of larger scale winery vs. small family boutique winery. Interesting to taste wines that we do not produce in California.
This was a good tour and our guide was very good as well....we visited 2 very different wineries and enjoyed them both very much.
My husband and I booked this tour at the last minute and everything was set up and handled beautifully. We had a wonderful time and found our guide to be very knowledgeable and entertaining.
The winery's we visited were both informative and delicious while remarkably different.
We would highly recommend this tour.
My husband and I booked this tour as part of our anniversary celebration weekend spent in Montreal. We throughly enjoyed it. Half the group was French speaking, the other half English speaking. The bilingual tour guide did an excellent job accommodating both groups. The selection of vineyards was terrific. The three places had different offerings and items of interest. Loved making a cocktail at the second place. Thanks!
The tour was amazing - we were a group of none on a bachelorette weekend - this was the most perfect adventure for us! Michel, our guide, was simply amazing and really made our day even more wonderful!
