Great food! Thank-you Yolanda, you did a fantastic job. four stops with different food at each. We didn't walk too far and were able to see a lot. We would only request not to stand out in the rain during the history discussion!
Fantastic !! Yolanda was a wonderfully tour guide. I will recommend it to everyone.
It was raining that day but it still didn't dampen the enjoyment of the tour.
Thank you Yolanda.
Excellent! We had so much fun and learned a lot too. We were booked on the afternoon Food and Walking Tour but due to a scheduling problem we changed it to the evening Beer and Food Tour. Our guide Franz was awesome, he loves his work, beer and Munich and by the time the tour was over we did too. The beer sampling was great, discovered some really good seasonal beers (and I'm not a beer drinker). The food was delicious and plentiful (no need to have dinner after that). The tour was well organized, we took the bus/subway between Beer Halls and finished the evening at one of Munich's most famous Hofbrauhaus. What a night! Prost!!!
Awesome! If you're in the area with an afternoon free and want to taste some of the local flavours with a splash of history and culture all blended together then get your self on this. Just make sure you don't have lunch beforehand as we were very full after it.
This tour is freaking awesome. You learn tons of history and taste delicious food, sausages, salads, struedels...it's just plain awesome. The explanation of the history of the area is fantastic. The markets are incredible. We might have gotten a little spoiled on this tour since there were just 4 of us so it was more of a private tour. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. It was the right amount of time and we were engaged the entire time.
Excellent fun tour with very knowledgeable guide. Learned the history of many foods and beer. Don't eat lunch before you go - lots of food to taste.
The Munich Food Tour was excellent--Iain (the guide) was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and most willing to answer any questions along the way. This tour was both informative and delicious as we ate and drank our way through central Munich. I would happily do the tour again!
LOVED this tour!!! Iain was our guide and it was just my mom and myself. Come hungary because you will eat alot. Iain was great and gave us a graduate school level course in German beer making. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys German food and beer.
We took this tour on our second day in Munich. We easily found our tour meeting place at the train station. Craig our tour liaison was very friendly and welcoming. His English was perfect since his hometown is in the United Kingdom. Took a quick U-Bahn trip into Central Munich and walked though several shops while Craig pointed out key points of Bavarian lifestyle and culture. Our group consisted of six persons. A couple from Australia, a couple from the Bronx, and my wife and I so we found the tour very personal. We ended up sitting on the picnic tables at the open air market at Viktualienmarkt. We drank mass quantities of the best tasting beer in the world while Craig brought a wide variety of the best food in Munich. He brought us large pretzels, sauerkraut, more kinds of sausage and knockwurst that my mind could comprehend, radishes, and several Bavarian deserts. Start the tour hungry, you'll be given a ton of food to enjoy. Thoroughly enjoyed this experience and would recommend it to anyone!
Another great tour activity found on Viator. Jan was a very informative guide and taught us a lot about the food and culture of Bavaria. I thought we got great value for the price and the food stops along the walk were excellent!
This was a great afternoon trip and our guide was very knowledgeable. Would recommend taking this tour at the beginning of a stay in Munich as it will help acquaint you with the popular square area at Marienplatz. As we'd been in Munich for three days already we had already been in the Marienplatz area twice before. Regardless, our guide offered interesting historic and cultural tidbits throughout the trip, and introduced us to the very popular Viktualmarkt with a private cheese and wine tasting. Would recommend to friends looking for a useful way to spend an afternoon in Munich.
