It was awesome!! I would recommend it to everyone. The beginning was confusing because none seemed to know what bus we were suppose to go on. Ran into traffic so we were rush at the Palace. That was a bummer. We still enjoyed the trip. The nightwatch man tour was really cool in Rothenburg. Very Funny and entertaining. AMG.

Fantastic trip. Great scenery, loved the castles. Best part was the medieval towns. Loved the stay in the Mueler hotel.

Great trip! It was mainly a tour on your own with set transportation schedule and hotel arrangements made. Night watchman tour was great!

Had an amazing time!! I was treated almost like royalty. Everyone was very nice. I was by myself so I was taken care of by the hotel staff, the tour guide, and the bus drivers. The hotels were wonderful! Hotel Mueller was the best!! The tours were wonderful. Everything was handled very easily. I would definitely do again.

Overall the trip was fine, except the hotel in Rothenburg, there was no elevator and no air conditioning. Older customers could not stay at the Golden Rose Boutique hotel.

We loved our Viator 3-day Munich to Frankfurt Tour Romantic Road. The first bus we were on was great, a really nice tour bus and our stops at the castles were great. Hotel Mueller was wonderful. The bus from Hohenschwangau was not as nice as the first bus from Munich to Hohenschwangau. The stops in Augsburg and Dinklesbuhl were way to short because we went back to Munich to pick people at the bus station. Totally a waste of our time for the tour. Rothenburg was wonderful and Hotel Spitweig so unusual and quaint. The nightwatchman tour - great!!. The bus trip from Rothenburg to Frankfurt was not as enjoyable. Was only a bus ride, no stops to tour, and only when we asked why there were no tour tapes playing did the driver put one on to describe where were riding through. It was obvious that from Rothenburg to Frankfurt was not a tour and was just a bus ride with the driver picking up and letting off people. That was really disappointing.

A disjointed 3 days. The first morning when we were to meet the bus was confusing. Several busses were there, we were told to just get on one and the guide would make sure we got to the hotel that night. The guide seemed confused about that. So we were on a crowded 2 story bus going to the Neuschwanstein castle. This guide talked a lot about 'very little'. We didn't expect to have to give the guide 21 euros each for the admission. We did not receive our information package until we reached the hotel that night. The castle tours were good and we had enough time at the 2 castles that we visited. The first night's hotel was fine, the hotel staff drove us down to the bus stop the next morning and we caught a different bus with a different driver (Kirksell) He was very friendly and spoke English well. We returned to Munich - we didn't expect to be backtracking. That day we stopped in several small towns and had short (20-30 mins) to explore on our own. People got on and off the tour all day. That night we arrived in Rothenburg. The tour included a "Nightwatchman" tour. This was really good!!! The hotel that night was extremely old (500 years) very hot. Old bed and pillow. The next day we were on our own until 4:00 then a taxi took us to the bus stop and we boarded a different bus with a different driver. This guy was impatient. He left a few minutes early and left 2 girls behind. When he was told he ran back on foot and got them. Then 2 other girls realized they had missed their stop and he kicked them off!

The tours of the castles were good. Would have liked more history on Munich. Our stay in Hohenschwangau was lovely. Very little information was given on the towns as we drove up the romantic road. Would have liked a tour guide or at least a pamphlet with historical information on each town we visited and a map of each town we stopped in.

Mainly a tour on your own - More of a pick up and drop off with scheduled transportation. Not a guided tour. Great sceneries enroute. Hotel in Rothenburg was average.

We were added to a day tour to neuschwanstein and left behind at a hotel when the tour returned to munich. The next day we were dropped at a bus stop which returned to munich and then continued to rothenburg with 30 second taped explanantions as we drove by different towns. The stops were just the 15 minute bathroom or lunch breaks that a normal bus would take so that's all we saw of any towns we stopped at. The hotel exterior was under construction and did not have ac in the rooms. We couldn't open the windows because the workers were on scaffolding walking in front of the windows. There was only one stop rothenburg to frankfurt and it was at an outlet mall to pick up 6 tourists. I would not call this a tour and would not reccoemend it.
