We had an utterly superb guide, so knowledgeable and an outrageous amount of fun! And no hangover the next day, phenomenal!

We did this on our first night in Munich and it was fantastic. Not only did we meet other travelers in Munich, we were able to get the lowdown on traditional Bavarian food and beer as a "beer and food" primer for the rest of our trip. This tour was informative and fun, and a must for anyone who's interested in getting to know more about the best beer in the world. Both the portions of food tastings and the beer were generous for the price. I highly recommended adding this as a great orientation and "must" for my trip to Munich.

German beer, food, and Munich history. Guide was great in teaching about all of the above. Glad we did it.

Our tour guide was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and most importantly interested in the topic. I am not a beer drinker but did the tour anyway - thought I would be bored but was not at all.

If you're interested in the history of beer manufacture and beer drinking in Bavaria, then this tour is the one you should go on. The food sampling at the beer hall is plentiful and tasty.

Our only real problem was finding the meeting point, it's actually inside the station opposite the magazine shop. Once we found it, the whole experience went very well for the 6 who were on this tour. Started off with a glass of excellent beer before we even left the starting point. Three trips by tram with the guide, a museum, and a small beer hall meant an good sample of several varieties of beer, and of food. Good idea to eat a bit before you start because the drinking comes before the food! The history is worth knowing. The guide knew his stuff - and wasn't too serious.

This is not a pub crawl. It presented a lot of information about the history etc of beer in a very fun way. It was much less about the food though so this is not the tour for you if that's you principal interest. We felt a little out of place as most people were in their 20's - and we aren't - but that was possibly just our group.

Really cool, had a great time and learnt a lot about the history of beer whilst having a few beers. Definitely recommend doing it. Hoo roo!

Guide was brilliant & funny. You definitely get your share of beer on this tour. The museum was average, but the beer garden was a great atmosphere. Fun way to see the other side of Munich--I mean it's all about the beer.
