While Dachau was never an extermination camp, as deaths occurred due to disease, malnutrition and exhaustion caused by heavy labor, the crematorium was used.

for those poor souls that went through these gates it did everything but set them free.. It's unfathomable how cruel people can be.

This is looking towards the back of the camp - it really is beautiful for such a horrible place......The barracks would be on either side of the trees - only two are there as the others were torn down.
