The best way to see Neuschwanstein as a day trip from Munich. All of the transportation is handled, the guide was friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and entertaining. The castle is as breathtaking as it appears. Definitely my best day in the Munich area. The only downside is that photos weren't allowed in the castle, but the tour provided a huge opportunity for photos from the exterior and surrounding area. Great time!!

It was a fun and interesting tour. Would recommend as we didn't have to wait in lines for tickets once we got to the castle and all the train/bus connections were planned for us.

A wonderful but exhausting day. The tour guide looked after us all extremely well. The balance of being in a party and being free to explore as we wished was excellent.

The trip is really worth it, pretty well planned, an excellent tour guide who was not only full of information, but also very helpful. One of the best tours I've been on. I wish we could have stayed near the lake side a bit longer though.

My husband and I had a great time on this tour. Our tour guide was a fantastic guide who taught us and made the day fun. He made the train ride to the castle entertaining by telling us a little bit of history about the area and the castle. The actual castle was beautiful and the views from inside the castle were breathtaking! We would both highly recommend this tour!

My granddaughter and I loved the whole experience, the only negative was the weather and therefor the views were not quite what you see in the brochures. The train ride was pleasant, the guide informative and the trip a magical success.

It was a foggy day and raining all over, but we really enjoyed the trip. The view of the castle was very different, and it was an enthralling experience. One point to note is that the entry ticket into the castle is absolutely worthless, because there is nothing much to see inside.

The tour was fantastic. We were carefully guided on the train and bus trips, including inside info to be sure we all had seats on the bus. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the castles and made sure we had plenty of time for the tour and gift purchases as well. He advised some of the group to take the bus up the hill to the castle, and they took his advice and appeared to be very thankful they had! The rest of use were carefully guided and given plenty of time to walk up the steep path through the cool and quiet woods and to the Marien Bridge for the outstanding photo opportunity. The tour inside the castle was short but incredible. This tour was great and well worth taking. I highly advise taking this tour.

Our castles tour was a great experience. Our guide for the day kept everyone well informed with historical facts and information on the region we travelled through from Munich. He advised the best places to take the all important photos of the castles and surrounding areas. The day was well organised and we had time to mix with other travellers and swap stories. Our guide was easily approachable throughout the tour to answer any question that the group had. This tour is definitely a must do whilst in Munich.

The Castle was amazing. There is, however, quite a bit of walking, so be prepared!

I really recommend this tour, it started in time and had a nice guide, who explained the story of the castle and the King Ludwig during the trip to Neuschwanstein. Spent a morning and almost all afternoon, so if you have time in Munich, do it, you will like. If possible, visit other castles also, but this one is the most famous and the outside is beautiful.
