tracking through the woods surrounding the castle was extremely worth it. We got to enjoy the scenery and nature including a deep in the river! We were surprised by the train ride to Bavaria though since the tour guide did not mention how long the ride would be.
This trip is fabulous although it would've been nice to have some time in the town to do some shopping. The tour guide was warm and friendly and very knowledgeable about the region. I would recommend this trip to everyone.
This tour was excellent - made even more so by our wonderful guide - Adam. Adam's knowledge, energy and charisma made this tour unforgettable. He is so passionate about the truth and history that I would classify him as the best tour guide ever!!! I learnt and enjoyed so much on this tour. Thank you Adam from your two friends from Australia and thanks heaps for carrying our heavy back packs for us. I will recommend you to all our friends who plan to travel overseas. We will remember you and your stories about the 'Fairy Tale King' forever.
One of the beautiful locations, Bavaria itself is very good Teh castle is a charming place and so was the trip.
I had Adam as a tour guide and absolutely loved him! He said it was his last tour, and he went out with a bang! He made sure to stop every couple of minutes along the way up to the castle which helped us all catch our breath. (That is not an easy climb, but you stay steady with it, the castle is worth the effort). I learned so much more from him than the guide inside of the castle. You're not allowed to take any pictures inside, and that part only lasts about 30 minutes. The views from the outside made it worth it however, and I know so much about King Ludwig than I ever thought possible! He really was an interesting person... Make sure to walk to extra distance to the bridge, it is definitely worth it! The views from there amazing! Also, make sure to stop by Mickey's food stand at the bottom and grab a brat and a beer, the guy is a beast and super nice!
This tour was very informative, but the castle tour was a little bit rushed. Tour guide was funny and helpful
Kevin was really sharp. He was knowedgable but more importantly enthusiastic about the history of the castle and King Ludwig. As a result i don't have to just show the picture and say isnt that pretty? I can share the story (a rich one) behind the the building of the castle and the king's demise.
Well worth the price. Thanks very much!
Awesome tour! Take the walking trail through the gorge back down to town from the castle its better than the castle itself which is great! I never knew that walk and was amazed how great it was and how little its adverised. Its worth doing this tour if it was just for that walk its amazing.
Did the tour with Anouska, was great way to see the castle and town and learn everything along the way. Freindly enjoyable and relaxed.
Even though the weather was less than pleasant, we had a good tour. Our tour guide, Keith, was very friendly and took good care of us.
Awe inspiring and beautiful countryside to see! Would highly recommend a visit to the castle. Our guide Kevin was knowledgable, very into the tour even sharing photos and stories with us on the train-loved this. What I will say to Kevin, please relax a bit and don't be quite so harsh. If you can't accept constructive critisicim then you won't go far in life. It's okay to share experiences about previous travelers, but keep the negativity to yourself-no one wants to hear it. And when you do recceive criticism, really listen to what the person is trying to tell you. Good luck!
This was one of the best experience of my life. The guide was very helpful and went beyond his duties to ensure we enjoy every second of this Tour. Our tour guide name was Keith. He is a wonderful person with lots of knowledge about the Bavaria and its surroundings.
Tour guide Michael was real, very personable and down to earth. Would love to do other tours with him!!!
