Rainy and foggy day, however the tour director kept the day interesting with info and fun facts about Neuschwanstein Castle.

In general the trip was good. We faced some problems in transportation due to rails being repaired. The castle and the view were amazing.

The trip was wonderful. The castle was spectacular. After arriving at the first level for the castle tour, the options for getting to the castle were not explained well at all. The guide kept that information to himself, and when he did let us know, we were totally confused. I would never go on another tour with him as the guide.

The best reason to have the tour guide is so you don't have to worry about what train or bus to get on in order to get to the Castle. Ours also provided some good information about the Castle and showed us a certain area of the mountain to climb up to get a really good view. The tour guide doesn't go into the Castle with you, but another tour guide takes over once you get in the castle. The tour of the Castle was very short, and no pictures are allowed once inside.

I liked the trip to Neuschwanstein a lot. Not only have we seen a castle itself, but also walked around to see the beautiful nature. The waterfall there is really impressing. The guide was very knowledgeable, interesting and open-minded person!

Our group wasn't very small, 26 people, which made it difficult at times. Our guide was great though, she gave us a lot of history that you don't get if you only do the castle tour when you get there. It would also be a difficult place to get to if you had to do it on your own, especially when they're doing work on the railway track and you're required to change trains a couple of times and catch a bus. We were also told that from June or July 2009 the travel time will increase to 3 hours thanks to more track work.

We weren't sure whether to do this tour but were so glad we did. Tour guide was friendly and very informative. Had a great day.

Due to unusual circumstances, maintenance on the train tracks and a full day of cold rain, our trip did not exactly go as planned. The tour guide was able to adapt to the challenges, and we still had a great time. We would recommend this trip to anyone who asked.

Neuschwanstein went well. The tour guide did an excellent job getting us there via trains and providing some background stories. He made it a pleasant trip. There was a bit more walking on site than we realized, but nothing wrong with that, just go prepared. Only downside was that the tour guide provided by the castle for the English tour could have been a little clearer.

Was well organised despite the fact that public transport was in a bit of a mess that day. Our tour guide was great - the stories about King Ludwig were really interesting. Such a beautiful castle!

My 66-year-old mother and I took this tour. There were about 10 other people on the tour. The guide made sure we got on the right trains & buses, and gave us very brief info before the "official" castle tour with the castle's guides. He then took us down a path along the river which was very enjoyable, and which we would not have found otherwise! It was a very enjoyable day - the only improvement might be if the guide gave us more information or discussions during the 4 hours of train rides; he simply rode along and escorted us. We met some great people & went out to dinner with them afterward!

The tour was very good, and the castle was very interesting. Unfortunately, the weather was very poor, but you get what you get and deal with it.

Had a great time on the tour. The tour guide was knowledgeable enough and had some funny stories to tell. We did feel a little rushed at the end and barely made it back in to town to catch the last bus. The tour was well worth the time & money.

Wasn't small group - roughly 30 people. Still thoroughly enjoyable and worth doing.
