Going on this trip by train was the best. The platform was easy to find, and the tour guide spoke fantastic english and was very friendly. Once we arrived at our destination, there was definitly a wow factor. The scenery was breathtaking, and the guide tour very informative and left us plenty of time to do your own thing. A warning though: you need to be reasonably fit, as you have to walk approximately one mile straight up to enter the castle.

Small group, great guide. There was some construction on the route, so our guide helped us with train-hopping and bus-hopping, which was very helpful. The actual castle tour is a bit brief, and no photos are allowed in the interior, but other than that, it was an ideal side trip from Munich.

It was a long, tiring walk up the hill, but the view was definitely worth it. Tour guide was very nice and showed us a back way down through a beautiful gorge.

It was wonderful! If you go, you should definitely walk to the castle up the hill. And take the gorge path down. The views are worth it!

We had a great time! The guide was helpful and informative. I felt like we got a lot of good history on the train ride to the castle that was helpful when we were on our castle tour. I'm glad we didn't just go on our own to the castle because the guide had good info and made things simple.

This is a must see. My friend and I had a lovely time hearing about the history of the castle and go our own fairytale experience by taking the horse and carriage ride up the mountain.

My wife and I had a great time on the tour of Neuschwanstein Castle! Our tour guide was very helpful and knowledgeable about the areas covered. We went during the winter, so the weather was grey and unpredictable, but the scenery and castle were still awesome! The tour was nicely priced, and the small size made it easy on all.

A wonderful day - the Viator guides were very well-organized, helpful, and knowledgeable. The castle was beautiful. Very cold day, some light snow - many in the group took the horse drawn carriages up the hill. It is quite a hike on a cold day. Great tour!

The tour guide was wonderful and very informative. The tour was well organized, and we were able to see everything that I had wished to see. The only downfall was the lack of free time to spend at the small area below the castle before departing for the bus. Thank you so much!!

Like I rated it, I absolutely loved it! Be warned of the extensive hike up to the castle. If you are not in shape take the horses! Its only 5 euros. Some of our tour members fell far behind during the hike uphill. The view of the Alps is beautiful and very rewarding. The air is fresh and crisp!
